If memory serves, they made a poor start last season as well, but ended up just missing out on the play offs. There's plenty of time for them to turn it around. They need to sign a couple of old heads though, as their team is very young. Heads can drop very easily for youngsters, if results aren't good.

I'm with you on this. All they've done since they come up from non league is slag us off. The hatred they have for us is downright wierd and That fake love in with the jacks they have is fuking embarrassing, can't wait for them to fukoff back to non league so they can go back to being quiet. Shame it wasn't Wrexham who were promoted that season instead of them

Great sound bite, but that statement I've heard countless times (from Butcher himself) couldn't be further from the truth of how they are operating on-and-off the pitch

I work with County fans, the odd one has no problem with us and wish us well, the majority hate us with a passion. Before I started working in the Newport area, I didn't mind County and I'm someone who supported City when we were in the same leagues as them and I was at Somerton Park in 83, when Aldridge scored the winner for them. But now I just can't stand em, one was saying the other day how shite the CCS is, I quickly pointed out that at least we have a stadium and some have this belief we were all laughing at their demise in 89. I have no recollection of that at all and with there being no internet in those days, I honestly can't see how they think that. They really have chips on both shoulders regarding us. If they get relegated I truly would love it!

Terry Butcher is the worst manager I have ever seen. He turned Hibs from a mid table SPL team to a average Scottish championship team in the space of a few months. Absolutely archaic coaching methods and tactics. Belongs in the dark ages.

I know loads of Newport lads, and they see Cardiff City as the enemy, and they hate us. In fact, oddly enough thr young ones hates us more than the olders, who wouldve had the great rivalry days eith us back in the 70s and 80s. I hope they stay up, but I facking hate them. They always mention Cardiff City, and have a pop at our ground, but its lightyears ahead of their Rodney Parade.

Theres a massive Cardiff following in Newport and Cwmbran, and I think that kills them each and every day. When they went bust, Newport lads followed their closet club... Us, as we are only 7 miles away. Dont fall fr that poxy love in with Swansea City, thats only a small percentage. If any of you saw the footage of what they did outside to the Jack fans, you would get it. The vibe I get is that the feel buried by us and Swansea, so want to make their own rep. Even though they are League Two, Wrexham gets more mention on BBC Wakes though. I hope they stay up, and we destroyed them in the Cup. Become our feeder club.

At one point last season, they were talking about playing us in a derby this season. (Them getting promoted, and us getting relegated). Met a coach load of them when we were coming back from Blackburn recently. They had been to Hartlepool, and had lost 1-0. They were ok, to be fair. One of them asked me if I lived in Cardiff, which I thought was a bit of a strange question. Told him I used to, but not any more. Never really given them much thought. Remember going to Somerton Park back in the 80s, but that seems a long time ago now.

The Newport County support probably has about 90% of them coming from Newport City. They stereotype us at Cardiff City as just Valley Boys, but they really do not like us. Yeah, thry have gone from Play-Off hopefuls to relegation candidates. Terry Butcher is awful.

There were a lot of Rumours about bulling of younger players and also beasting players with cardio intensive traning sessions after a loss. A few ex players moved on now have mentioed this in interviews since leaving. Really feel sorry for Newport but looks like they are doomed.

I do feel sorry for Hibs they can never hold on to a good manager because bigger clubs snatch them up and Stubbs could end up the same they haven't had a good manager since Mowbray.

Stubbsy is the best i've seen for a while. He's still learning though. It's Difficult for everyone in Scotland with Celtic being the force they are. Imagine what the likes of our Youth/reserve team could do to help them out. Likes of Kennedy, Semi Ajayi, Declan, ossulivan, barnumm bobb etc thats been talked about today. Even Macheda till January !
