RIP Leigh Evans - Blue Nile

Apologies as this is so hard to type - I just wanted to let you all know that my Leigh died suddenly from a heart-attack on Monday night. He thought a lot of you all here on the forum - Annis, Carl, Nukes and Regan, Dave, Fishy, Lou, Jock - lots of you he met through travelling away with his son Joel on Carl's coaches.
As you can imagine we are all very shocked... Many of you have known Leigh since he was a little boy going to matches from school, and others through Cardiff city recently.
I wanted to post here to tell you, myself and Leigh's family are making the arrangements for the funeral in the next few days. If any of you would like to come to say goodbye - or send cards - you would be more than welcome. I will post again when I have arranged the details with his family.
Please can you do one thing for me? Make sure you give your nearest and dearest a hug and tell them you love them. That's what Leigh and I did every day for nearly six years. He also taught me how to do the ayatollah and convert from supporting Brentford (where I'm from) to supporting the bluebirds. I hope this makes you laugh because that's what Leigh was all about, loving life, supporting the blues and laughing along the way.

Saska, as I said earlier Leigh was always smiling. I am absolutely gutted, I pray that Joel and yourself are as well as anyone can be.

Leigh will be sadly missed by all that travel on the coach and on this message board.

Leigh is a gentleman and a true blue.

That must of been awful to write, coping with what's happened

A brave message from a very brave lady. Very sad news.

Just came in from work to this awful news and I am devastated and gutted, Leigh was a wonderful person as Carl said always smiling, Leigh found the rebrand tough and started to drift away and I was trying to persuade him to come back which he said he would. Taking Regan on his first game away to Nottingham Forrest always made Leigh laugh out hysterically and said Regan became a legend on that trip. Lots of us have lost a good friend and more so his son Joel on whom he doted has lost his Dad and to his Girlfriend and Family my thoughts are with you right now.
