Get Morrison Out

Tue Aug 18, 2015 8:38 pm

He was at fault the Blackburn equaliser and he was at fault twice against QPR. His positioning is terrible, he's slow and he shouldn't be captain at all. Captains are supposed to lead by example, but he certainly does not do that. Get Manga in as soon as possible and swap him for the dire Morrison.

Bloooooobirds.

I know, I cannot believe that we paid over £2.5m for this plank. We will continue to concede sloppy and unnecessary goals from set pieces mainly, with Morrison playing. Yes, he may pop up with the odd goal here and there, but he is one of the main reasons why we concede a lot of goals. Action must be taken, I would rather play Oshilaja in central defence than Morrison. I cannot wait for Manga to return and for him to play alongside Connolly.

It shows last season magna save us most game without him we look shit, when magna back drop morrison.

Re: Get Morrison Out

Tue Aug 18, 2015 8:52 pm

Spot on. Unfortunately, we will keep conceding with this clumsy, calamitous carthorse switching off and costing us goals at crucial times. We would have probably had 2 wins if Morrison didn't cost us.

We've had rotten bad luck in Turner and Manga both being injured and I don't think it's any coincidence Connolly's form is suffering having Morrison alongside him. Blackburn almost scored earlier when Morrison allowed their player a free flick on leading to Hanley heading wide from 5 yards and he didn't learn.

Hopefully, Slade will be allowed to bring in a centre back on loan to replace Morrison. To be fair, we didn't deserve to win tonight, but we deserved to win the first 2 games. So to be on only 3 points from 3 games because of Moore's blunder and then 3 Sean Morrison lapses the past 2 games is incredibly frustrating.

Who are you sticking in with Manga and Turner injured?

Re: Get Morrison Out

Tue Aug 18, 2015 8:56 pm

Would slade want to bring in a CB?

Ole stupidly bought him nut slade keeps playing him and even made him captain despite his unprofessional behaviour off the pitch.

I did say when magna back when he fit drop morrison for him we should be beaten team like Blackburn they poor side without there best striker,it's bit worrying we can't beat them.

I was hardly kissing his arse for Christ sake. I had seen him on a couple of occasions and he did impress me, also he certainly did not in the 5 games that I saw him play for Reading, make the Same mistakes that he has been doing for us. I also spoke to a few Reading fans about him and they raved about him. I admit that that was my knowledge of Morrison before we signed him and yes I was wrong, but I'm big enough and ugly enough to admit that I was wrong.

Please forgive me sir, I bow down to your higher level of football knowledge. I am but a lowly peasant.

I must now go back over every single one of my previous posts that I have posted on this site, since the day I first signed up.

If I was as sad as you, I would go back over all of your previous posts to find an opinion, quote or statement that you have made previously, to see if I you were wrong about something.

But, I have a life and I shall go and find her now.

Hes a massive liability. f*cking clumsy slow donkey of a defender.

Trouble is slade will always pick him i expect, sort it out slade ffs

The reason he has'nt gone to Panteg with Gabbidon is because they could'nt guarantee him first team football.

So does Slade then as he not only played him all the time last season and this season, but also made him captain for the first few games.

He's got no choice with Manga and Turner out.

How about Peltier and Conolly or Ajayi with Fabio at RB? Don't forget Slade was playing Morrison last season when others were fit.

What about the captaincy? Could have given it to Peltier, Jones, Malone, Dikgacoi or even Whittingham.

At fault for the Forest goal. Dikgacoi got beaten in the air, but he's a holding midfielder, so you can't expect him to win every header. Morrison gets caught ball watching (again) and lets Antonio get the wrong side of him to run onto the flick on to score.

Peltier's fault, Antonio is the winger, Antonio is Peltier's man  I'm guessing Morrison won't be in your 'core' England squad that consists of Simon Moore, Steven Caulker, Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell

When are people going to get it into their heads that no player is responsible for marking just one man a game? If the opposing wingers switch sides, would you expect our full backs to switch sides also to stay with their men? Of course not!

When the keeper kicked the ball up field, Antonio pushed on into the second striker role and Morrison was marking him. The ball gets flicked on and Morrison gets caught ball watching and allows Antonio to drift past him through on goal. I suggest you watch their goal again.

I also suggest you learn to read properly as my post about Moore, Caulker, Mutch and Campbell POTENTIALLY (if you know what that means) being the spine of our team who could possibly all break into the England squad one day was nothing more than a post at the start of our Premiership season talking up the fact we had a young spine of exciting, English players that I believed at the time would continually improve and perform well for us. Why you find that so funny is beyond me, but this thread is about Sean Morrison. If you can't spot the fact for that Forest attack, Morrison's responsibility was to mark Antonio and he failed to do so, I'm not going to waste anymore time trying to debate football with you.

When are you going to understand that man marking is part of the game, whilst it's not used as much anymore, the usual contest is that the full back deals with the winger. How about not criticising literally everything Ole did for the club and always having a go at Morrison, you literally have to criticise even when there's good. Of course I know what potentially means, your opinion is viewed as a joke on here and on CCMB, just give up mate

Don't usually post on here any more, but sometimes I come across a comment/opinion so ridiculous I can't help but pitch in. Nothing personal.

Surely you can't possibly be suggesting that Peltier, or any full-back for that matter should follow the winger wherever he goes? Yes man-marking is a part of the game, but if the winger goes on stands on the opposite, flank, or on the goal line, or at the other end of the pitch, should the full-back follow him? Obviously not. At certain times if a player moves about or changes position then the responsibility is passed on to another player to keep an eye on him. In this case, that player was Morrison and he lost him, as he has done on several occasions this season.

As it happens, I totally agree that Morrison is a poor, poor defender to say the least and the fact that he chips in with the occasional goal should not be enough to keep in the team in my opinion when we have four players (when all fit) who are much better centre-backs than he is in Manga, Connolly, Turner and Peltier if need be. In fact I'm struggling to think of a worse centre-back we've had in the last 10 years than Morrison.

Hope he comes good and proves me wrong, but for me, Manga, who we all know is exceptional, and Connolly, who has impressed this season, is the way forward at the moment.
