Dikgachoi looks a class act put himself about and looks a very solid defensive midfielder, just need a high energy midfield general alongside him to dictate play and we will have a quality midfield just hope slade sorts this out.

Whitts plays with his brain mate, I watch him very closely and his movement to get on the ball the majority of the time spot on, you don't have to run around like headless chicken demanding the ball to be a good player. Same thing goes for his defending it's not in his character to go around hunting the ball back but he does his defending by staying on his feet ushering players into crowded areas etc. Our midfield at the moment looks really nicely balanced in my eyes, Ralls has energy and quality, Dikgacoi brings a presence and is composed on the ball, Whitts is our main ball player and keeps us ticking over well and Pilks brings attacking threat and creativity. Slades created a system to get our ball players on the ball as much as possible, I think that showed today in how we dominated possession.![]()

Some people are just blinded mate, very good assessment from you and I totally agree 100% and exactly how I see it. Whitts has a football brain not a chicken that loses his head.
The possession we had today shows clearly that our midfield was very good, all four of them.

A few points on your post.....
1. A good midfield player who wants to dictate play WILL run around and demand the ball, dosent have to be like a headless chicken like u say but whitts dosent demand the ball or try to get us on the front foot and dictate play.
2. Yeh your right not in whitts character to go around hunting the ball, a good centre midfielder in a 442 should always do this, you say he ushers players into crowded areas, the only ushering i have seen from whitts last 2 years is him ushering players to run straight passed him with the ball, hes too slow and always second to the ball.
3. You say ralls has energy and quality then why not play him in centre mid and give him a chance to perform in there sure he will be a good player in there for us, leaving a chance for ameobi or noone to take ralls place on the wing then.

I must have watched a different game to you. fella!
In my game, Whitts was always in position to take the ball off his team mates, often from defensive positions before passing the ball on swiftly and accurately, whilst certain other players are still giving the ball away far too cheaply
I would have thought people would have learned what Whitts is all about by now and what a continued asset he is, but (as usual) maybe a bit of familiarity has bred a little contempt for the overall work he does for the team!

How long does it take a professional sportsman to get fit enough to do his job properly. Has ther ever been a footballer who can't play for more than 70 minutes?
What happens if we ever have to make three substitutions before the 70th minute of a game? Will Dikcacoi be withdrawn after 70 minutes anyway or will he stay on the pitch blowing out of his arse as the opposition walk around him with the ball?
Let's guess the first game in which he plays a full 90 minutes this season - I'm going to say....it's not going to happen.

Whittingham disappointing again. The usual sideways shuffles and allowing the opposition to just walk through us like a knife through butter. How much longer should we be constrained to playing with just 10 men? However, I watched the match on tv and someone made a "world class" pass from about halfway inside our half to the wing. It was sublime. I thought it was Whittingham and will credit him with it but its the only thing I saw him do all match. In all fairness, I have seen some sublime passes from Gunnar and Ralls too but, like Whittingham, not often enough. Bring back Gunnar, all is forgiven!

agree with this, Whittingham never needs to run around like a headless chicken as he reads the game well and always positions himself in the right areas, Whittingham wasone of our best players at qprGotMeSingingTheBlues wrote:troobloo3339 wrote:Whitts is the weak link for me

what a f*cking idiot!
when in the entire game did QPR "walk through us like a knife through butter"?
most of their counter attacks were down the flanks when we were pushing forward. We absolutely bossed their midfield despite being a man down in that area.

He could easily play 90 minutes. But granted he aint the fittest player in the team so whats the problem in bringing fresh legs on every other team in the country do it. He looked impressive yesterday, he missed a whole season last year his match fitness will be up to speed now in no time and he will be even better.
