A player who shits in the street to be captain, also he's wank, sums up the club really.

Sad but true, glad to see Slade has rewarded him for that
Personally I wouldn't even start him when everyone is fit.

As long as he shots on the opposition, I don't care!

Shits!

I have to say I am shocked by Slades decision

I'm sorry but he scored us goals last season, maybe abit shaky at the back but he's improving especially with par partnerships at the back becoming more and more established, nervous for him and Connolly against Fulham as they haven't been partnered up much before but In the air he's solid and he has a sort of presence in the back, I wanted gunnars as our captain or pelts but I'm content with Morrison, to early to judge really yet

Can't agree with this decision. After what he did in the summer, added to the fact he shouldn't even be playing when everyone's fit. Manga, Connolly and Turner should be ahead of him.
Peltier, Gunnarsson or even Manga would have been better options.
Shocked and disappointed.

Spot on.

He's captained the club all preseason and we've remained unbeaten - say what you want about preseason, and about Morrison's actions during the summer, but he's done well. I think he'll (and, as a result, Cardiff) will do well, I seem to remember Hudson was despised during his first season here, that soon changed didn't it? Let's just hope he can justify the appointment.
Fri Aug 07, 2015 1:25 pm
Have I missed something here? I can't see anything from the club that states he is the club captain.
Fri Aug 07, 2015 1:26 pm
Given the fact we have Peltier and Gunnarsson it begs belief to be honest. It also suggests Marshall will definitely be leaving.

Agree with this we need to back the nee captain. I think he is similar to hudson situation. Hope he's the same as hudson was class from his second season with us. Sometimes players take a season to find form.

Ned, I am very disappointed in this decision.

When everyone's fit he should be no better than fourth choice centre half after Manga, Connolly and Turner.
Captain?
And some on here still believe that Slade knows what he's doing?
Unbelievable.

Something else for the back stabbers to get their teeth into. God help it if we don't win tomorrow. Just my opinion. By the way I wanted Gunnerson.

Paul Bigchief Ferrell So shitting in public is a good example and leadershit qualities hmm it woulda gone to gunnar for me
Aston Martyn Williams I am with you Paul. Gunner all the way .
Fri Aug 07, 2015 1:44 pm
I'm not happy about the decision as not only was he a liability last season his antics of crapping in the street were embarrassing. However the responsibility might make him a better player and person.
Fri Aug 07, 2015 1:48 pm
He is only confirmed as Captain for tomorrow's game, I don't understand why everyone is making such a big fuss about it.

I agree with Chief too on this one. He is a crazy guy but he is spot on with this. I've said Gunnar for a long while!

Yes he's in a profession where he should act professional but the amount of people acting like angels and slating him for it is quite petty.
I thought him and Manga was one of the positive things in the second half of the season, done very well together and we was hard to break down.
Scored some key goals also.

That's right.
In the press conference this morning Slade was clear that Morrison was captain for tomorrow but not that he was the new team captain beyond that. He even confirmed that Marshall is still the captain but if/when he leaves the position will be reviewed.
If the OP is a quote from Steve Tucker it doesn't match with Slade's comments at the press conference.
That said, I would much rather Peltier was named captain tomorrow (if Gunnar is starting on the bench). Whatever Slade sees in Morrison he must surely be aware of the fans opinions - especially after the 'shit in the street' clip earlier in the summer! It isn't a huge issue if it is only for a game or two, but it feels like a mistake that could easily have been avoided.
Fri Aug 07, 2015 3:17 pm
So Marshall is still our No.1 Captain and Morrison is our No.2 ...
Fri Aug 07, 2015 3:24 pm
What a terrible choice.
Fri Aug 07, 2015 3:58 pm
Surely when all fit he won't play, Turner and Manga first choice unless Manga is about to be sold
Fri Aug 07, 2015 5:13 pm
I don't understand people saying pelts for captain. He does his all for the team but I don't see leadership from him.
For me it's Morrison from the team which will prob start tomorrow then Turner when fit.
Can't see gunner getting much game time to be honest
