truth is we have about 12,000 die hards who will turn up whatever(obviously some fans wont be able to attend all the time due to family/financial committments/hols,etc) , alot of fans only turn up when the club is doing well , if we have a good start then I think attendences will improve

Yes well I still believe a couple of thousand are missing thanks to the rebrand.

I believe we have lost 4000 fans. We have may be 8000 die hards now.
We had died as a club through that season, the rebrand, the circus, the sell out had affected
All of us. I stopped going through that season, couldn't stomach anymore.
Last season continued the dross and was final straw for both old fans and fans who came on board
When we became a decent DJ side with the start of our Wembley trips.
To couple this with the success and stability of Swansea has left many bitter against Tan
And these and their kids are lost to ccfc.
Best thing for city would be for Tan to say sorry, and sell us debt free for a few million
And leave.
I've now bought an ST again as I fight back against a part of me that had given up.
For me, tan must leave, but won't happen
So while that c**t is here.
The only way to get supporters (customers) in is success.
But by slade being here, and the shite he served up
Fresh from last season And his lack of support by club and fans
The general feeling by some stay always is - f**k it.

All that is happening at cardiff city fc is the equilibrium returning to pre Sam the man days. Expectations at cardiff were set to high, with many fans believing that cardiff are a huge club and it was only a matter of time before they became a fixture in the PL. The relative success you have had over the last 8 years with trips to wembley and getting promoted to the PL, was built on sand and when that happens sooner or later it will all come crashing down.
The way forward is to now get some stability at cardiff, bring spending under control and by doing that you can put down solid foundations and for that to happen fans should lower their expectations.

As our success / foundations were built on sand, yours were built on the back of one administration and shafting your creditors twice, your last sentence is obvious and applies to all clubs.

The current board at Swansea learned from the mistakes of the past. If they didn't Swansea would not be in the PL now. As the old saying goes a fool learns from his own mistakes and a wiseman by the mistakes of others.
