*Peter Whittingham*

He was down the gatekeeper yesterday. Lovely bloke & top player. I believe he's not going anywhere. He's a Cardiff city great. He's distraught at the abuse he receives from a small minority who in my opinion are wrong. He's happy here & he's 1 of us. He will prove the doutbers wrong next season.

If he had players making runs like Chopra and Bothroyd used to he would show what a great player he still is. When he doesn't have an option to play the ball through to, he has to go sideways or back to keep possession. Not his fault if he has statues in front of him!

Agreed. Where lucky to have him. The doubters need to appreciate what a quality footballer he is.

Most of the abuse he gets is more of a reflection of how ignorant some of our fans are as opposed to his ability.

That's why I like Mason and Doyle, both have good movement

Well yeah we're aloud to appreciate a player that's stuck by the club, been a true pro and given us great memories without sarcastic comments from bellends like you

Stuck by the club? .... why the hell would he want or need to leave the club?? He's in a nice comfort zone here - very well paid and settled in the area. If Whittingham left to join a new club he'd have to adapt to a new living environment, team-mates and more tellingly ... play to win over the new fans.
In a way, I'm glad he's aware of his detractors, hopefully he'll put more effort in this coming season and stop playing the role of victim ... i.e "my game's not what it used to be because I'm played out of position and no one's making any runs for me".

Paul, he is staying, mark my words. Whitts is a pure gentleman and a class act but some are blinded and that's a shame. He will shine this season and hopefully that blindness that some of our fans have will disappear.
He does what he wants and he wants to stay  :ayatollah:

And maybe just maybe if they started the run he would put the ball in, funny that isn't it. Whitts is a passer of the ball and NOT a long ball specialist that just hits the ball and hopes that someone will run on to it, he has a football brain and some of our players are no where near on his wavelength which then makes him look like an idiot. Watch this space this season with Ameobi in the team and hopefully Russel. :ayatollah:

Thought I was the only one who loved whitts glad there's more of us who appreciate a club legend when we see one, nobody will play play for us as long again and be so loyal,it's unheard of these days

THIS!!! The lack of runs in behind from our strikers is criminal. Whitts often has no option but just to keep things ticking over until a forward option presents itself.

Great post!

Whitts is a top man, top pro and loves playing for us.

I was as Forever Blue said SHOCKED/STUNNED when I heard him say Whitts doesn't like football and is looking forward to retiring.

He will have another good season and get booed for scoring 10+goals, dictating play but not winning every header zzzz

Re: *Peter Whittingham*

Even Slade saw there were no outlets for Whitts, so instead of lumping it forward he passes sideways or back. Any surprise we are after pacey wingers, we haven't stretched the field for years. I am even getting that strange 433 or 4231 feeling.

Class act. We say there is no loyalty shown by players these days but how about a bit of respect for a man who has been incredibly loyal to us? :ayatollah:

I love whitts. Superb left foot. Great delivery of set pieces. When he had the likes of bothroyd and chopra in front of him ccfc scored a shed load of goals. One reason and that is great vision.
