It's sad that it's come to this but I think people really have to reconsider going on holidays or work to any Muslim country. Things like this can happen anywhere but it's more likely to happen in a Muslim country.

Going there next summer. Hope the Tunisians start sorting this shit out by then.

Why would you book a holiday to Tunisia?

100's of Tourists have been killed there and in Egypt over the last 5 years.

its a dangerous place and can never be 100% clean of potential murder.

I cant take the risk of taking my kids to any muslim country to be honest.

f**k their cheap holidays.

If we are not careful, Cardiff will be next......

where is our human right not to have some crazy biggoted potential murderer around us that is supported by the most violent religion of all the crazy cults?

Stop pandering to them and keep us safe FFS

People need to understand that short haul holidays to Muslim countries are cheap for a reason!!! Why put your families at risk ?

Today was Britians Bali bombing because it was a direct attempt to murder Britions aboard but ffs people think before you go booking holidays otherwise you may as well go to f*cking Syria for the weather!!!

Re: Updated Terrorist Attack on Hotel...

Fri Jun 26, 2015 9:22 pm

Tunisia has for a long time been high risk and you shouldn't entertain any idea of going there for precisely that reason. Before I had kids I traveled to many 'muslim' countries and often well off the usual tourist trails and had some incredible experiences. Now my kids are older I would love to take them to some of the places I have been but I never would, as the risk now is simply too great. I honestly don't think holiday companies should be hawking these high risk countries as cheap vacations to folks for precisely the reason of todays sad events, which I think were inevitable and will also increase in frequency.

Thoughts are with the victims and families of those affected as a result of these cowardly attacks.

There was gunmen on rampage at a museum there just a few months ago targeting tourists yet people still go there shortly afterwards!!

Isis have warned that they are targeting tourists during Ramadan and yet they still go!!!

f*cking madness because hey ho it's cheap sunshine!!!

The wife, my kids, the in laws, niece and I went to Hammamet last summer, about an hour up the coast from where the appaling events took place today. It was fantastic, and was tempted to book a return trip this summer. Though I am taking about the resort which felt very safe, clean and family orientated, although on the way in it was very desolate, barren and poverty stricken, an unpleasant first impression of Tunisia, but what happened today has sent shivers down my spine.

Like Egypt, the resorts are man made and usually high standard.

Most have armed guards or checkpoints close by!!

Most times, You are discouraged to leave the resort for your safety!

When I go on holiday, it's to go to a place or country for a relax and an experience.

Not for all I can eat/drink in a resort getting baked in the sun.
1000s now choose to go and it's due o the price of holiday, quality of hotel.
The more dodgy the place, the more reasonable the price.

Turkey is, next to Syria, Libya next to Tunisia and Syria. - people, cultures, politics, religion and bigotry
Are similar.
like Wales, England, Scotland
Ask yourself this.

Would you go on holiday, all inclusive to a cracking hotel, guaranteed sun - in Libya or Syria ???

Tour operators have a big part to play
But people need to educate themselves too.

(what would we be like if Scott Youngs sister was killed in this tragic event?)
RIP to all who's crime was to be European.
Thoughts to all family and friends

Like Egypt, the resorts are man made and usually high standard. - are you kidding ? Awful stinking dirty place

Most have armed guards or checkpoints close by!! - not forgetting the bomb scanners you need to go through to get into any hotel

Obviously hitting the Islamic tourist areas. ISIS are a threat to theses countries as well as the Western world and both cultures need to fight together to defeat this virus. However that will never happen.

Really feel for the families involved in this incident

You would not get me on holiday to Turkey or Egypt or Tunisia if you paid me to go

I won't even go to big events in Cardiff anymore

75,000 people in one place in the capital (millennium stadium) would actually concern me being there with that many people an easy target for a crazed member of that group

Very sad that I feel that way in my own country

It's a real threat to Us And our way of life anyone who doesn't see that needs to remove the rose tinted specs

Lighten up mate, I fully appreciate the seriousness of what's happened and my heart goes out to anyone involved.

No need to take what was meant as a harmless remark and try and turn it into something it's not, some people just love an argument. :(
