The rebrand was a mistake. He was, perhaps, badly advised. And he took the decision to correct the mistake.
The mistake lasted a few years. Difficult as it may have been it was only a short time in the clubs history and "Yma o Hyd" - We are still here.
But rather than just correct the mistake I do think he has gone a step further. I do like the new kit. Whether purposely or not there is no red on there. I expected there to be. And the branding outside the stadium "Our City is Blue" is indeed a very bold statement from the owner of our club.
I have a good feeling about this season.

I was expecting some red branding around the stadium. Sure it was red for the Wales game but that was quickly taken down and replaced with blue.
For me it appears that VT is trying is hardest not to offend anyone and I genuinely get the impression that he wants to be part of us.
I think most of us will admit that he could have just, reluctantly, changed back to blue - but he didnt. He went the extra mile and come out with the #ourcityisblue slogan. That is a very bold statement in my opinion.
Having watched the bluebirds for some 40 odd years and now being luckily enough to work alongside the club and provide images for the match day program I would like to think I am able to retain my impartiality. The dragon is not a problem in my opinion. Some may say it has nothing to do with Cardiff but some may point to the top of Cardiff City Hall and say the Dragon has always been part of Cardiffs history and now with an owner who wants to return us to the Premier League
