Why 'no doubt'? I would be very surprised if Charlotte Church didn't pay her full whack of tax as a UK resident - with no fancy avoidance schemes.

She is on the record saying she would happily pay tax at 70% to protect public services.

Ask her if she would gladly pay 70% , If she didn't already have her millions in the bank, which have no doubt been subject to tax being taken after advice from a top accountant ,that has made sure she pays the minimum amount she has to.

There is nothing stopping her transferring the remaining % of her earnings to local charities. IT is very simply to say i would do something when you know damn well you will unlikely never have to

Charlotte lives relatively near to me and is a lovely girl. The only problem that we've ever had was when she first moved to the area and used to scare my cows on account of her incredibly loud fanny farts. She has the voice of an angel but unfortunately a fart like a 650 Norton. That said, I would still boff her backwards but only at a safe distance from my livestock and whilst wearing good quality ear-defenders.

Fools like her are the reason why the UK will never progress and is becoming a country full of potholes, derelict houses, a joke in terms of infrastructure in comparison to other global cities and a section of society that has no work ethic whatsoever. They keep peddling this 'spending, spending, spending' line and then when the country is in more debt and has more interest to service, they say it doesn't matter and don't want to take responsibility for their actions. I would not trust these morons with a lemonade stand, nevermind a nation's economy.

Tax is corrupt. Restore the family unit, let family units and communities pull together cohesively and support those in genuine need through voluntary funds. The local people know best about their local area. They'll also come together as a unit and look out for one another increasing social cohesion rather than driving social tension. They know who the druggies and leaches of society are and they will simply stop catering to them. Meanwhile, those in genuine need will get help provided as people pull together and people will know who the genuine ones in need are.

The tax system is not just immoral, it is economically flawed. It takes from providers, disperses the wealth to those who often do not contribute and thus leads to a situation as many countries have now. What happens then? Borrowing, debt and debt interest, all of which is factored into the next budget cutting into money that should be spent elsewhere. The current economic model is unsustainable.

Can never take people like her serious when they start spouting off about politics. Same with that prick bono, and that other scruffy kunt geldof when they act all saintly over world poverty. Hypocrites the lot of them
