Gunners is an international player a regular and the Captain.
Plus he was signed when we were paying outrageous wages.

Both Ralls and Gunnarsson lack pace but would keep them both and have Ralls for his skill and gunnarsson for his battling qualities. But we do need some pace in the centre of the park and if Noone goes on the wing...plus a pacy striker

I agree we need both of them,but I'm not sure if Noone is the answer,I would sell him now.

I love Gunnars. There is no question he cares and there is more to him than being a physical presence, he has natural pace and ability on the ball. He played well early inn the season further forward alongside Ralls, so maybe that's where he should be played. I would defo keep him.

You are entitled to your opinion, but why would you want him sold? He is a fighter who cares about City and has some quality about him. I don't think there is anything better out there with the budget we have decided to operate on.

Never in a million years is he a £20k a week player. He cares and tries but too slow and passing poor.

When you think that Shaun Wright Phillips was on 70k a week a week ago at QPR, Gunnars is worth every penny!

I highly rate Gunnarsson and believe he has a lot to offer next season and I agree with you that he should be captain. He is as you say Iceland captain and have constantly seen him trying to organise and bark out instructions down the ccs.

All this sentimental crap, he's been at this club far too long, let him go along with Whitttingham and let's have something different in midfield.

The sensible option on his part would be to run his contact down

Squad player next season hopefully. He was dire during the middle part of the season and yet kept his place. We need a creative,goal-scoring midfielder.

Those are high wages and not what arun is worth in reality. If we got a decent bid over a million we should sell.

Totally agree. Once in a blue moon he has a decent game but his best days are behind him. His passing his poor, he gives the ball away far too often and he gives away a countless number of free kicks per game, not mentioning taking out keepers on a regular basis. ( We have had quite a few goals ruled out due to infringements on keepers by Gunnar)

I'm surprised by that wage he is a good player I like him and should be captain but if a £1 to £2 mill offer comes in for him then sell.

Vital we keep him I think and make him captain. We should be building a team around him Ralls and Adeyemi in midfield.

Is Gunnarsson still doing his long throw in's after his shoulder injury?

Always thought they are as good as a corner, if not better - could devistate some championship sides next season.

For me would be a toss up between Gunnar and Turner for captain next season - with Turner just shading it for me, if only because I think a Defender has a better view/handle on the team looking with the run of play (well, I hope our run of play is forwards???)

We struggled in the middle all season! No ball retention, no work rate, no creativity... Midfield was non existent...

I don't rate Gunnar at all! Far too inconsistent... Once in a blue moon he has a decent game! We need to address the midfield issue starting with him and whitts stepping aside! If an offer was available for Gunnar, I'd take it! Whitts I'd keep as a squad player and use him from time to time as I feel he sometimes can offer something, but certainly not in a 442!

Bart, Ive heard they would like to get as much money ASAP from transfers and cut wages by half again. So who really knows which players will go,but expect at least half of the more quality ones to go.
