Barcelona plan to make a £50m-plus bid for 24-year-old Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the summer despite their transfer embargo. (Sun - subscription only) .

Heard last summer they were supposedly going to offer Arsenal £40mil, dont think they'll go as high as £50mil.

He's a perfect fit for barcalona. Would like to see this come off. Barcelona have a totally different mentality to real Madrid, so messi and co, would welcome him with open arms and make him feel right at home. What a great opportunity for Rambo if this is true. He'd have an armchair ride in that team

I don't think I could deal with the fact that we should have inserted a sell on clause when we sold him to Arsenal. 25% is the usual amount that clubs look to ask for when they are including one in a deal to sell one of their star players. If it was to happen I think the minimum we could have made on the deal would be £10m, if he goes for £40m and we had a 25% sell on clause. What on earth were the club thinking at the time? Our greatest academy graduated player ever that we have produced and we let him go on the cheap and we don't insert a sell on clause in the deal. What a bunch of amateurs. I knew this would come back and bite us on the ass one day. It's just terribly frustrating, especially as we could really do with a bit more money at the moment. Oh well, another day in the life of a Cardiff Ciry fan, eh??

Xavi is leaving after the season ends to join a club in the UAE so maybe there is something in it. Ramsey would go into direct competition with Ivan Rakitic, pretty nuts to have so many great player competing, but this is Barca

They appealed the ban which allowed them to buy players while the process took place. That meant the ban would move to the right also and is still in place.

I'd love him to go there mind.

Barca can buy players the same as every other club, this summer transfer window. The only thing that they can't do, is they cannot register new players until Jan 1st 2016. I don't know why they have called it a transfer ban, as there is nothing stopping them from signing new players, just like every other club, this summer transfer window. I think there is a strong possibility that Barcelona will sign Ramsey and then loan him straight back to Arsenal until Jan 2016. If they don't go for Ramsey then they will more than likely try and sign Paul Pogba, with Pogba going straight on loan to another club, rather than back to Juve, until next Jan.

To loan a player out they must register them as their player which they cannot do. The way around it is to make the deal for 1 Jan 2016 when their ban is up.

Ramsey would flourish in the Barcelona side. He's exactly in the ilk of Xavi, Iniesta, and Rakitic. He even offers more of a goal scoring threat than those players. I would love to see this come off. I think he's progressed as far as he can at Arsenal, unless they sign a couple of world class players in the summer that can help his development.

Totally agree it has become embarrassing with too many keyboard warriors that just want to come on the board and tell us Black is White , just makes you wonder what these people are like in the flesh .

I think he's similar to Rakitic in terms of being the engine and energy man in the team, he has some of the qualities of Xavi and Iniesta but if we're being truthful they are masters of what they do and Rambo's not quite hitting those levels at the minute. I'd love to see him join Barca as I think they could mold and coach him into their philosophy and he has the ability to perform at that level. Crazy to think one of our own is being linked to a £50 mill transfer, even if it is bollocks.
