There is a fundamental problem with our society. Poverty is everywhere in Wales and in many parts of England and Scotland. Personally I think this is a disgrace especially as we are something like the 6th richest economy in the world and if I were rich I would have no objections to paying a lot more tax in order to make the place in which I live a much more just and fair society with no poverty, no crime and excellent public services. People sometimes forget that even those who are relatively comfortable sometimes will need the police and fire service as well as maybe needing an ambulance in an emergency or hospital treatment. With another £30 billion of cuts to come many of these services may well collapse soon. I think that this "I'm alright Jack" attitude is a deplorable human characteristic and I say fair play to Charlotte Church for making a stand as she could easily choose the quiet life but is simply showing that she cares about the quality and fabric of community.

The first question is what is the working man ? Bankers work, so do baristers who work at Starbucks, as do electricians or factory workers.
Is this based on salary ? I know electricians who regularly earn more than £50K they put the hours in, work away, are they rich, should they pay more ?
The I am alright jack attitude is part of life. Its the reason why communism and socialism failed. There is no alternative that's worked to free market capitalism. Labour were in power for 13 years and ran deficits in times when the country was dripping with money and have little to show for it.
The problem with the left is they are very good at spending other peoples money. I hope Charlotte who is a very rich young lady funds her local soup kitchen. I doubt with her left wing credentials she has hired clever accountants to pay less tax, because tat would really be immoral or hypocritical.

Yes because the average working man
1. Sends his children to Eton and Harrow
2. Enjoys Fox hunting
3. Has a large portfolio of stocks and shares
4. Uses a good accountant to pay as little tax as possible
5. Uses private Health Insurance
6. Speaks with a Home Counties Ascent
7. Worries about paying Inheritance Tax on his death
8. Is concerned about the 40% tax rate for earnings over £150K
9. Has no need of food banks.
10.........
We all recognise ourselves in the above... don't we?
The Tories try not to think of the working man as they step on him while feathering their own nest.
I hope you have no reason to become reliant on the NHS, benefits, public services over the next 5 years.
I'm all right Jack.

If the Tories are such bad and naughty people then why have the British people spoken and put them into power with a majority?
Think one of the reasons is because the working class are fucked of with wankers sitting at home earning more than people who get up at 5am for work.
Single mums pumping out kids for more money will hopefully be reduced to 2 kids and not this I've 11 kids and need a mansion at tax payers expensive while the hard working middle class can't afford children.
Labour let the welfare bills get out of control as these lazy cunts are their voters.

We live in a democratic country and the Conservatives have a mandate to govern as they see fit. If they mess up they will lose the next election.

Labour Created the NHS
