Loaned CCFC not invested

Cardiff City Chairman Mehmet Dalman

Ive been told that Dalman has now at least loaned £7.5 Million of his own personal money in to Cardiff City.

What I was led to believe originally Dalman was asked by Tan to go in to Cardiff City and sort the mess out he had created and then hopefully find a buyer for City.
But the debt/mess was much higher and deeper than expected.

I believe Dalman himself started to fall for the club and started investing, but also has so many ideas for our club, yet even though Tan does listen to Dalman, Tan of course has the final say and many things I believe Dalman would like to implement dont get done.

This is only what I am hearing, that this frustrates Dalman and I think you would see more of Dalman if he had more say than I think we think he has?

I wonder what it would be like if Dalman was our owner/chairman?

Yes, he is very confident and articulate and wasn't there talk a while ago of him putting together a consortium?
Dont' forget though, that he was responsible for bringing OGS down here!

Yes, I believe he tried :thumbright: but the debt needs to be at least a quarter of what it is,to get a consortium to take over.

Think we know one of first people he'd show the door too.

So Dalman money was a loan? If so what rate , so Tan isn't still outright owner and would have to pay off Dalman to make us debt free?

Mike, Yes we do

Im being told he has invested?

Maybe Keith Morgan, could elaborate on it?

I really think that if Tan is looking to get out Dalman would be a great option as owner.

He's certainly showing more passion as a chairman than we've seen for a while. Maybe he could persuade TG to come back on board, they would certainly listen to the fans even if money may be a bit tight !!

I can see him taking 50% share and working with tan in the future with 100 million tv money up for grabs it will be worth the gamble

Dalman is also affiliated with a car company that Tan has in London. I have no evidence other than from a close source that Dalman was one of the main voters for the rebrand which was down to his love of Manchester United and both he and Choo run the business whilst Tan is out of the Country. If what i'm is correct - then no I wouldn't be happy with him as our owner!

We are trying to lower wages but still be competitive so Dalman can own more I'd assume? He's not exactly loaded. Think he mentioned how we shouldn't be as reliant on VT etc

We should also remember that Dalman played a huge part in creating the mess we are in by appointing the awful Ole to ensure our relegation and then allowing him to assemble a massive, unbalanced squad of over paid and under performing players. Man Utd stars in his eyes again. I'm not convinced he is all that great.

As at 31 May 2014 , there was a debt owed to Torman Finance Inc of £7.5m on which interest of 8% was being charged.

The club refused to comment on whether this debt was due to Mehmet Dalman , which was a bit silly because

1) the accounts say that Torman has a common director with CCFC (Holdings) and it is not one of the other directors

2) Mehmet himself told BBC Wales and other press and media that it was him

3) Mehemt himself told a minuted meeting of fans` reps that he had personally invested in the club

It could be that he is a director of Torman , but not the only investor in it if it is a consortium he has out together

My personal opinion is that Dalman has got his eye on Tan's ownership. Not sure how he'll do it or if it's possible but I certainly don't think he's content with the role he has now and I wouldn't be surprised if he attempted some sort of hostile takeover by bringing others in to make it happen. I take pride in my ability to judge people's character and I wouldn't trust Dalman.

He doesn't own massive companies though that would put him in the club ownership bracket.

He is very similar to Risdale and puts other peoples money together with business opportunities then gets paid for his work. He is also a career chairman or executive.

I'm sure if MD can find another £165m down the back of his sofa, Tan would sell :thumbright:

Good read although it says the total assets of companies MD is involved in total £178,804,283 and liabilities are £465,229,666. That means a deficit of £286,425,383. I wonder much of that lot is down to Cardiff City?

Thanks Keith :thumbright: So a very shrewd businessman, also making money out of City? even when we are in dire straits.

Dalman seems a nice guy and has connected with the fans, but if it is true that he brought Ole into the club that was a major mistake and caused most of the probs we have now. Can we trust his judgement? :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Not aimed at you; just responding to the sentiment contained within. But sadly, I don't think any owner would be good enough for some of our support because the type of person that has enough money to do so, will have his own ideas and be confident enough to implement them! Then, the moment they go against what your 'average' fan (if there is such a thing) wants, then they are doomed, vilified and hounded out (as Sam was in the end) by people with little or no knowledge of what happens next!

Seen it all before...at this club and others...and they all suffer in the end! ;)
