" CARDIFF CITY NOW LOOKING AT WAYS "

Wed Apr 29, 2015 10:27 am

Cardiff City have been having meetings with fans and club staff on how to get season tickets sold and bring back the missing fans.

City did a survey a while back and that has been discussed.

Also they call us customers nowadays, in my opinion we are more than customers, as we love Cardiff City.

Any suggestions on here ? and I will forward them to Wayne Nash and Ken Choo :thumbright:

Serious answers please :thumbright:

Freedom of speech/expression for fans who attend the CCS :bluebird:

Cheaper tickets for U16's a priority. :bluebird:

A statement from the club that they agree ticket pricing for British football fans need addressing urgently. And they would be willing to work with the FA and other clubs to find a solution

Entertaining football :bluebird:

Thanks Annis :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Decent football and a chance of doing something next season will always do the business. But, we do need clarity on what the clubs genuine ambition is next season.

As the above is a uncertain even with the greatest cheque book, personnel and soundbites, decent pricing to compensate the shit season we just had would be a start.
The pricing would have been Ok if the club were still on the up and we all still believe in the club. But , we don't.The doubt is there and the club has a lot of damage to repair. It feels ever since dynamic pricing (the season before red) the club has been at war with the fans. Well done you have won, we are beaten. You win a war when the other side stops fighting back.

This needs to be a campaign.

A truce between the club and the fans !!!
Declaration of intent- Whats going to happen - Slade, coaches, new players- I accept I don't need to know the details
A burst of reduced prices and refunds for those who already have paid. A way to thank the loyal fans and all that stuff
A push on rail seats but this wil be a law issue

In my view its too late.

Tan underestimated the number of "customers" who didn't like his ideas.
He took on the fans, took the piss and lost.
Those once loyal fans have turned their backs and realise that there are other things to do on a Saturday.

Unfortunately following the city is just not worth the hassle. The enjoyment has gone

3 years ago 16 of us were season tickets holders at the new ground, today out of that 16 there 0.

Too late tan, its what you get for a completely dis-respecting a club and its fans!

Great response, totally agree with you.

Annis enlighten Mr Cho about how some of the supporters paid in full up front around Xmas to help the club pay the vat man lol.

Respect and loyalty is a two way thing and thats where the club has failed miserably :digging2:

New manager & 3/4 new players = 5-8k extra ST holders. Simple.

Fans want to be excited and not watch the dire, boring football under Slade.

Eradicate all vestiges of red in the Stadium.Bring in a well known Manager'and a few good players. And get Craig Bellamy on the staff.Maybe as a high profile coach come Assistant.Or fans managment go between.

RobP is right. I think it is too late for a lot of people.. There is a family friend who still wont go down because we sold Toshack!! We love to hold a grudge!

My Ideas

Less over zealous stewarding (one steward followed me to my seat because i didnt show him my ticket after going for pi$$, i walked past hi, several times before)

Change Canton and the Family stand, create a bit of atmosphere.. Most people were drawn to the club because of that.

Sack slade. Bring someone young and with fresh ideas. Not a Dinosaur manager

It's a shame its come to this. If Tan had made better decisions (or better suggestions from those around him) he really couldve gained legendary status with the fans. He's obviously passionate about what he believes in, as we are passionate about our club. His and our passion combined couldve led to something great

Tan spending millions on players while changing us back red and prem bound im sure the 1000s on 1000s of glorys will come back then :laughing6:

Nothing will change people from not renewing for whats happened in the past the damage is done and killed it for many 1000s sadly, as they saying goes you reap what you sow and the club have certainly done that the wrong way :(

People have been telling wayne nash and others at the club for years what could make it better but the prawn sarnies made them forget about fans. I mean look at the banner thing vs blackpool it goes to show how shite football on the day has become with our club

Bring down the price of under 16 season ticket's to the same level everywhere.I know two that would be sold tomorrow. And they would eat a lot of grub down there over a season. They would also demand and get a replica shirt. So a lot more money would be spent than just the cheap season ticket. From little acorns ect.

Re: " CARDIFF CITY NOW LOOKING AT WAYS "

Wed Apr 29, 2015 11:14 am

There are fans who will renew each year regardless of the goings on at the club, at present i am still one of those in that category but i will admit my patience are wearing thin.

So what will bring the fans back?

In my experience as a fan and its the same with any club its success that gets the fans through the gate in big numbers.

This season has been a chore if im honest and many are not renewing due a number of reasons. Some examples are ;

1. Financial situation.

2 The managers style of play and incompetence.

3. The ethos at the club due to the current regime.

4. Lost interest.

They are some of the examples i have heard by many fans as to why they wont renew.

Its now down to the club to come up with a plan to eradicate this negativity from our fan base and to get them back on side.

Even though I have renewed, listening to friends who have not renewed I feel we need a strong statement of intent from the club. We are just drifting from situation to situation at the moment. But to be honest, I sesnse the board has no real clue themselves :? I think it's too late for this season. Sometimes actions are louder than words and they have to win those fans back maybe?

Replace Slade :sladeout: New Manager will increase sales, and give us something to look forward to. :sladeout:

Re: " CARDIFF CITY NOW LOOKING AT WAYS "

Wed Apr 29, 2015 11:22 am

Replacing Slade with another manager wont make any difference to the playing budget as we are cost cutting after all its what we all wanted the debt down but it might change the football of course which will help although I doubt it will bring 1000s back because whoever is in charge will have the same thing, NOT MUCH SAY IN ANYTHING. The quicker fans wake up and realise this the better or keep living on the clouds and hope a top class manager will come in and work with a shoe string transfer budget next season that's if there even the managers players

Well said.
To build up the fan base from very low in 2008 to approx. 19,000 in 2014, and then lose 75% in 9 months is criminal.
They were in the habit of buying season tickets....the habit has been broken.
I doubt if half will return unless we return to the premier league...and quick.

Think the obvious thing would be sack slade a new manager would make fans more ooptimistic and get the bug back to going to watch cardiff play not easy to follow a team with a manager you hate in charge

1.
Buy some creative attacking midfielders, the team need to be creating chances attacking football some sort of playing system or style

2.
If the prices are right people will turn up , Season tickets for under 16s/Students £50-£100 pack the Canton
let them have flags encourage them not bully them with verbals sit down do this do that into silence FFS
Walk up prices need to be low enough to attract the floating 20,000

3.
We have gone from being the most scary passionate of supporters to a No singing boring Joke
you don't need to be violent to create an atmosphere but the Stewards & Nash have killed the atmosphere
by going over the top for the most trivial of stuff people have had enough so attitudes need to change QUICK
leave the ego`s at home.

Its easy

Re: " CARDIFF CITY NOW LOOKING AT WAYS "

What Cardiff needs at present, is a manager that fans can relate too. Malky (forget what happened afterwards) is a good example. He not only inspired the players, but the fans too. He respected us, we respected him. He made the team hard working and hard to beat, and the fans respected that. We enjoyed going to games and watching a hard working team ethic.

What we have at present is a manager which nearly every Cardiff fan thinks is out of his depth, and doesn’t deserve his spot as manager of our club. He doesn’t respect the fans, and he’s lost most of the fanbase.

We’re back in blue, we have a decent squad, with a few additions and right manager we can progress. We just need the right person to inspire everyone at the club, and return the enjoyment of watching Cardiff

Not to mention, walk up tickets should be no more than £20 maximum. for all areas of the ground.
