Cardiff will hand a late fitness test to midfielder Joe Ralls who picked up a knock against Blackpool last week.

Eoin Doyle and Joe Mason are expected to continue upfront, while defender Ben Turner could return from injury.

Joe Ralls could miss out after his injury in the win over Blackpool last Sunday, which could see Stuart O'Keefe come back in otherwise.

Eoin Doyle and Joe Mason have started to build a partnership up front, which should continue with Ben Turner ready to make his first appearance since injury back in January with Fabio likely to continue at left back with Scott Malone doubtful.

Defender Ben Turner could start against Forest, having been sidelined since January with an ankle injury.

Over 1,200 Cardiff fans are expected to travel to Forest for last match of the season :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman hopes to have Gary Gardner available for the last time before the on-loan midfielder returns to Aston Villa.
Andy Reid (groin), Chris Cohen (knee), Britt Assombalonga (knee) and Matty Fryatt (Achilles) all miss out again.

Nottingham Forest's Gary Gardner should overcome injury to play for the club one last time before his loan from Aston Villa ends.

Aside from the existing suspension to Kelvin Wilson and injuries to Andy Reid, Chris Cohen, Britt Assombalonga and Matty Fryatt there aren't any other concerns for Dougie Freedman, who I'm sure was linked with the vacancy when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was sacked by The Bluebirds?

Forest have not won for 8 League games.

History and description

Nottingham Forest moved to the City Ground in 1898 after unsuccessfully trying to find a permanent home in previous decades.

The City Ground officially opened on the 3rd of September 1898. It was initially a rather small ground consisting of mainly wooden stands.

Some improvements were made in the following decades, mainly in expanding the terraces, but the ground only really started to develop from the 1950s. The first was a new East Stand (later Executive Stand), which opened in 1957.

The opening match of the new East Stand also meant a new record attendance for the City Ground. A total of 49,946 people saw Forest play Manchester United that day.

In 1962, a fire heavily damaged the wooden main stand, but it was successfully restored. Six years later, another fire completely destroyed the same stand, which was subsequently rebuilt. The stadium could at that time hold about 43,000 people, of which 17,500 seated.

The successes of the Brian Clough era made further developments possible, resulting in the construction of the large Executive Stand in 1980. The Executive Stand got later renamed Brian Clough Stand in honour of Forest’s most successful manager.

Developments continued in the early 1990s with the construction of a new all-seater stand at the Bridgford End and in 1994 with the new Trent End at the other end of the ground.

The City Ground was one of the playing venues of the 1996 European Championships, during which it hosted three first-round group matches.

In recent years, the club has investigated the possibilities of building a new stadium. These at one time became rather concrete as part of the England 2018 World Cup.

Swansea City recall Modou Barrow from Nottingham Forest loan

Swansea City have recalled forward Modou Barrow from his loan spell at Nottingham Forest following Wayne Routledge's season-ending injury and Jefferson Montero's hamstring concern.

Routledge has had ankle surgery, while fellow winger Montero was taken off in the 3-2 win at Newcastle as a "precaution", says manager Garry Monk.

Barrow, 22, joined Forest in March.
"We're down to the bare bones as it is so we can't afford any more injuries," said Monk.
"He [Montero] could have carried on but there was slight tightness so we didn't want to risk him."
Montero, 25, has been hampered by a number of hamstring issues this season.
The Ecuadorian international could feature again soon, but the campaign is over for Routledge.
The 30-year-old has undergone an operation to cure a long-standing ankle injury.
Barrow made four appearances for Championship side Forest during his loan spell, having played nine games for Swansea prior to his move.
The 22-year-old Gambia-born winger joined the Swans from Swedish club Ostersunds in September 2014.
Swansea broke their Premier League points record with Saturday's 3-2 win at Newcastle.
Their tally of 50 points leaves them eighth in the table with four games left against Stoke, Arsenal, Manchester City and Crystal Palace.

Forest V City This Saturday

Russell Slade: “We were 17th when I took over and right now we still have a chance of 10th. Is that progress? Yes. Is it enough progress? No, not really and we have to keep working.”

Dougie Freeman: “The club has a huge amount of planning to be put in place. That will be the key to success for us. We need to plan a lot. We need to implement our plans as soon as possible.”

The curtain comes down on what's been a bitterly disappointing season for Cardiff when we take on Nottingham Forest on Saturday, however I'm not entirely sure that our City Ground hosts would rate the season they've had as a resounding success either would they!

Joe Ralls could miss out after his injury in the win over Blackpool last Sunday, which could see Stuart O'Keefe come back in otherwise.

Eoin Doyle and Joe Mason have started to build a partnership up front, which should continue with Ben Turner ready to make his first appearance since injury back in January with Fabio likely to continue at left back with Scott Malone doubtful.

Russell Slade, who insists he's the man to take us forward, feels that this season has been a five our of ten and if we can finish roughly where we are, in midtable, then he would be right but it's not enough is it?

If we win, and results go our way, we could still finish in the top ten, which I'm not sure how we would have managed it!
