I believe at least half of the season ticket holders this season were just glory hunters /plastics from the premier league days
that being the case we only had about 8k real supporters as season ticket holders
so about 50% of the real supporters have infact renewed

I haven't enjoyed it as much since moving to the CCS and I was put off by the whole FA Cup tickets shebang. That was pre Tan.
It is no doubt that Tan upset many with the rebrand. However in the grand scheme it was a small number as proven by the protests and they became greater when the product on the pitch deteriorated. We were all happy in red under Tan when beating Man City and you could not say we were lacking passion that day.
I personally think that it has a lot to do with the highs we achieved in getting to the premiership. Think about it. If you eat McDonald's your whole life, you are used to that. There might be the odd special burger they bring out that you enjoy but it's still McDonald's. If you then get a taste of premium steak for a bit if and when you go back to McDonald's you don't like it anymore. Now people don't want McDonald's they are using any excuse to not eat it. Tan is an easy target as is Slade.
The football is apparently dull. But, we have been there before with much worse players and standard of football. Of course they were the days when the crowds were only 2000 to 3000. The crowds picked up when we had a bit of success. If you like, when McDonald's had their special burgers on. That's why I think 4000 season tickets is probably about right. Those that have abandoned the club have every right to do so. However they should be truthful and say it's because they can't be arsed with the championship after the year in the premiership. It's not a shameful thing it's human nature. However to blame Tan for ripping the soul out of the club after the shit times we have faced is ridiculous. Especially as he's being hands off and criticised for this.
I await any replies actually explaining why rather than just he has.

Steve, can we agree the football being served up IS dull, The OP suggests this is open to debate.
That debate long ended with the pitiful home performances, and fans turning their backs in droves, not able to stomach Slade hoof ball tactics

the old days when the standard was average to dire, the tickets were cheaper. That fact is conveniently not factored in by the OP
I agree with the OP about the move to the CCS having an adverse impact upon supporters, this discontentment fans often speak of may stem from the move to CCS rather than the owner's antics.
I agree that if Tan's player investment worked, hardcore supporters would be replaced with ease by Sky subscription owners who want to see big name players playing for-and-against their local club.

That could be anyone who became a fan from Sam onwards as it had been pretty good since Sam took over on the pitch.

Neil, This is not a dig, but as you admit and I know you have very rarely seen a City game for years, then " Unless youve experienced " the divide at games over the rebrand, the terrible atmosphere at games, our unprofessional club that they say themselves we are customers not fans(so then customers want value for money),the dire football and the final bit that I now know for a fact once again Tan is dictating to Slade regarding players again, you wont feel like many of our fans and myself feel about Tan.
Neil, as a person I have nothing but respect for you,but regarding your opinion on Tan,I totally disagree with you,a bit like Palestine and Israel![]()
And to think mate the other board accused me of being in your pocket.
My point is how is it any worse than under Kumar for example? How is worse now than when we were winning under Tan and in red?
NeilYour 100% def not

It was worse under Kumar than Tan, if you were to forget about the Rebrand. But of course The Rebrand has killed Tan off to many of us and We cant forgive it.
The rebrand he has reversed.
My point isn't aimed at you here as you were there among the 2000 (when I also was) and are there now. However do you agree many are using Tan and/or Slade as a convenient excuse because they were only interested when times are good?
That could be anyone who became a fan from Sam onwards as it had been pretty good since Sam took over on the pitch.
Tan has reversed it,but the divide for nearly 3 years will never be forgotten by many including myself.
But I do agree also many are using Tan as an excuse because City are not doing well.
What confuses me mostly is that many said the only thing that would make them happy is a full reversal of the rebrand which he did but still people have a go. It baffles me. I understand the way people are feeling but some said the opposite.

I will quantify this by saying that I haven't been in a fair few years. The championship winning season was the last time I went. I didn't watch us live the whole time we were in the premiership. I work shift so get very few Saturday's off. It just happened.
I think disapointment amongst older fans has led to a lot of them packing in. for years their goal in life was to see us in the premier league and when it happened we were shit and the odd game apart were never competitive despite spending millions.
i also believe the appalling fall in in the standard of football in 12 months plus the unbelievable appointment of the current manager has compounded the issue
