They are no doubt extremely worried and disappointed by the level of renewals to date.

Due to work changes, I won't be renewing, so I'll have to pick my games for next season. The way it's looking at the moment, I'll be one of the many walks ups for next year.

Annis, I got that email too along with a letter addressed to 'Cardiff City Supporter'
After our conversation last Saturday about where I am going, (I don't want it out there just yet), I have had a rethink about my season ticket after hearing that it's a very strong possibility that all our best players are going to be sold, it just wouldn't be feasible or financially viable for me to renew under the circumstances you know about me, I think you know what I mean. Very poor from the club IMO :(

No, Ive moved away so financially I can't anymore

But even if I was in Cardiff I wouldnt be renewing, I havent enjoyed going down for a long time. Really disliked last season apart from Fulham away and didnt particularly enjoy the promotion season. I cant justify spending so much on something I dont enjoy at the moment. That goes for football in general

Re: Every City Fan will get a personal email & letter/Will t

Had my email this morning and I will be renewing however I can't help but think the club have shot themselves in the foot by making a low key managerial appointment and then off loading the bulk of the quality players.

The dire football ( improved slightly over last month) being served up has not helped. There will always be fans who say you have to support the club through the bad as well as the good times but I can understand why many will not be renewing. When money is tight do you really want to folk out good your hard earned money watching park football.

I think the club needed to pull in their purse strings but not to the extent of totally writing off their promotion chances. There is obviously still the summer transfer window to go but the way things have been I believe we are likely to see more quality go with cheap sub standard imports to replace them.

How does the club expect to entice paying customers when they are not providing a decent service/ product?

We renewed yesterday, spoke to few people at Burchers , rhiwbina , on sat evening, most renewing, leaving it til 31st.
So what if we have to sell players, need to sort the debt, plus I think we have the foundations of a good team.

Hi all,

Unfortunately i will not be renewing for next season and will just pick our games on pay as you go method. I feel let down by club over last years price price  of 550+.  Even though the price is now down to 370  for next campaign i still feel let down by the whole Cardiff experience and feel my support was taken for granted.  I wish the club all the best and would like to thank club for going back blue and changing badge which are all positive steps.

Sooner people realise our aim in no longer promotion but stability as a championship club the better. Don't buy tickets if you think we are going for the PL because you will be deluding yourself, we've been there and done that, it didn't work out, so we need to move on as a fan base :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Its all about price for me. Im not paying close to 400 to watch a relegation battle. However, 250 £ and i would renew.

Here's an idea... buy cheaper seats.

Give up the dream of promotion just because it didn't work out last season?!

Spot on
My thoughts exactly
Some people don't think of things like that
They got to look at things in the long run
Can't keep going next season with 40odd players with some on stupid wages
Realistic some people have to be

Yes ! What if it doesn't happen next season either ?
And aload of high earners can't do the job like this season?
Just got to look at brentford and Bournemouth this year doing better than us but still really had the same team as league one

Rubbish, every Clubs aim at the start of the season is promotion. You can't say that we won't be trying next season and our only aim is to be a run of the mill championship side. Everyone as aspirations. Do you think clubs like Brentford and bournmouth just wanted to survive? No, they believed and went for it and it's paid off so far.

Re: Every City Fan will get a personal email & letter/Will t

I think they needed to make a decent discount for early renewal this year, at least 10% otherwise what's the point in renewing, its not like there is a waiting list for your seat, the fans are in the driving seat for the first time in a while.

I will probably get a season ticket again as enjoying a bit more lately, at least the players are showing a little bit of fight, but will probably move stands so no need to rush and renew............

Re: Every City Fan will get a personal email & letter/Will t

Tue Mar 24, 2015 4:20 pm

Doubt there is a need to rush, because there is not a big uptake, the club will most prob extend the deadline anyway.

Need an ambitious owner if a club is going to make a serious bid for promotion. Tan knows by now that if you are looking to invest in a business that will make you big profits, that business is not a football club. Had his fingers burnt once, he's not stupid enough to do it again. His only concern now will be getting as much of his investment back as possible. We need to remember he is not a City fan like us, he is not even a big fan of football. This was a business venture that he was persuaded to invest in, and judging by the number of times he attends our matches, a business venture that he has lost interest in. I don't think he has any serious desire to see this club back in the top flight.

That is the very heart of all problems at our club at the moment.
SPOT ON !!!

Mid table next season if we can hold our own IMHO.

totally agree with you ,I do honestly think even if manga and Marshall goes we still have a good team I think with Trollope coming in its helped and I'm hopeful of a big push next season

It's all speculation though isn't it? Nobody really knows if Tan is no longer serious about another crack. I'd rather see what happens over the summer or from some sort of comment off the man himself before jumping to conclusions.

If the likes of Manga, Marshall, Jones, Fabio etc all get sold then we'll have a better idea of what's going to happen but to say that the club has no ambitions is ridiculous to say the least.

Yes, It is pure speculation. I have tried to put myself in the shoes of a successful businessman having already lost a substantial amount of money on a business venture, and wondering whether I would prefer to get out or do it all again. Perhaps if I was an out and out football fan, I would be a sucker for punishment, and carry on chasing my dream. If I had no real interest in football or the team I owned, I would cut my losses and run. As you rightly say though, only speculation, we will find out one way or the other soon enough I expect.
