So what if we have to sell players, need to sort the debt, plus I think we have the foundations of a good team.

Give up the dream of promotion just because it didn't work out last season?!

Rubbish, every Clubs aim at the start of the season is promotion. You can't say that we won't be trying next season and our only aim is to be a run of the mill championship side. Everyone as aspirations. Do you think clubs like Brentford and bournmouth just wanted to survive? No, they believed and went for it and it's paid off so far.

Need an ambitious owner if a club is going to make a serious bid for promotion. Tan knows by now that if you are looking to invest in a business that will make you big profits, that business is not a football club. Had his fingers burnt once, he's not stupid enough to do it again. His only concern now will be getting as much of his investment back as possible. We need to remember he is not a City fan like us, he is not even a big fan of football. This was a business venture that he was persuaded to invest in, and judging by the number of times he attends our matches, a business venture that he has lost interest in. I don't think he has any serious desire to see this club back in the top flight.

It's all speculation though isn't it? Nobody really knows if Tan is no longer serious about another crack. I'd rather see what happens over the summer or from some sort of comment off the man himself before jumping to conclusions.
If the likes of Manga, Marshall, Jones, Fabio etc all get sold then we'll have a better idea of what's going to happen but to say that the club has no ambitions is ridiculous to say the least.
