Just how I feel because I cannot understand how he was asking Jones to play in the first half. Because of the injury to Ravel he had no choice but to move him up front in the 2nd half. Fair play to Kenwynne despite missing what looked a sitter he was much better in the 2nd half.

Doyle and Kennedy were also game changers both did really well.

I'm not moaning but do have to point out that yet again we were piss poor. Just not the worst of the two teams on show. I was honestly fighting sleep in the first half.

I'd be glad if those points meant anything for our season but they just don't.

Most of us are clutching at straws.

When I read skewett I knew what would follow!! Piss poor? Did you go? I think you been watching to much match of the day. Controlled first half without creating. Second half didn't give them a sniff and created scored and won. Your expectations are ridiculous :bluescarf:

Two defeats in eleven games. Today Birmingham didn't have a single shot on target. We could have won 5/6 nil. I really don't think you're the one to tell people to 'get real'..

Well I'm not going again. The sun was so bright I had to wear shades throughout the whole match. Why hasn't Tan moved the sun so that it doesn't shine in fans eyes? Blatant piss take and I don't blame fans if they don't renew now.

Bournemouth hammered Middlesbrough 3-0 today, which puts into context how good our point was Tuesday. Today was a comfortable win and a clean sheet. There should be nothing to moan about but some of our clueless fans will never be satisfied! If we smashed them 10-0, it would be Slade's fault why we didn't win 11-0 for some reason!

I go to every game home and away and this season I've also been to all the Cup games, so for one thing I can be sure you haven't watched more games than me this season. I don't expect Real Madrid but I do expect value for money. If my expectations are too high then you must be satisfied pretty easily.

I suppose you're going to say Slade hasn't had a fair crack yet. I think he's had about 5 months and if you look carefully I'm not the only one disagreeing with you on here. In fact I'm not even the only one saying they practically fell asleep in that first half today.

Why should we settle for mediocrity.

So you're saying despite us stroking the ball around nicely in the first half but not having the cutting edge, which Slade addressed by putting Kennedy on at half time, you wasn't satisfied? Our comfortable 2-0 win where we were clearly the better team and kept a clean sheet wasn't good enough for you? Ok then!

Why was Kennedy even on the bench? A good manager wouldn't have needed to address it.

And totally agree, awful in the first half.

You obviously haven't seen my other posts this evening!

Don't get your panties in a twist Stringfellow - I thought we did ok today against a poor Birmingham team who, like us, had nothing to play for this season.

And I will give Slade credit for making the changes which changed the game, bringing on Kennedy and Doyle swung the game our way, even if his hand was forced by injuries, without which I doubt if we would have seen either of them until much later in the game, when it might have been harder to influence the game as much as they did.

I still fully expect to see the ineffective pairing of Whittingham and Gunnarrson starting in centr midfield against Reading despite another decent showing from Ralls today (also forced on Slade by the way).

How can you say we were awful in the first half? We stroked the ball around nicely but didn't have the cutting edge to create in the final third. Slade addressed this by bringing Kennedy on at half time, but Ralls had a good game and I thought it made sense to have Ralls' and Gunnarsson's energy in the midfield to start off, as this allowed Whittingham and Noone to have a bit more freedom. Once we were on top and realised how ordinary Birmingham were, Slade made the correct decision to bring Kennedy on to open them up and then Adeyemi came on to tighten it up later on, which was another good decision. I couldn't fault Slade today and it was a good performance.

Wasn't Gunnarrson injured? I'm sure that's the only reason Kennedy came on at half time. If I'm wrong then I will admit that it was a good tactical decision by Slade but if Gunnarrson was injured then it was forced on Slade and without the injury I really doubt that we would have seen Kennedy on at half time.

We were our normal boring usual selfs first half
They were poor too
Second half was better
Nothing I'm getting excited about
We are still miles off looking good
Couple of wins and people think we are good again
Don't get carried away lads

Gunnarsson might have been injured, I'm not sure. But Slade could have gone like for like and replaced Gunnarsson with Adeyemi or O'Keefe instead. But Slade chose to put Kennedy on and it proved the correct decision, so I'm giving credit to Slade for this one.

Blueminati, you cause a lot more division on the forum than most.

What a meaningless thread.

Slade has been criticised because we have been TOTAL SHIT at times.
