My View/Opinion

" RESILIENT CARDIFF CITY "

Still not great football, but showing signs of a time up for it and fighting for every point :thumbright: :thumbright:

Bournemouth had most of the possesion, but City worthy of a point for their never say die attitude :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

The stadium looked the emptiest for many a year.

Cardiff City 1 Bournemouth 1

Crowd 19,819

Cardiff City Team : Moore, Fabio, Ecuele Manga, Morrison, Connolly, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Noone, Kennedy, Jones, Revell.

Subs: Wilson, Malone, Gabbidon, Adeyemi, Ralls, O’Keefe, Doyle

Tonight City faced top of the Championship Bournemouth, who had also scored 78 goals this season

City went in to this game after 3 away wins on the trot, but had not won at home for 5 games including 3 defeats, tonight was going to be tough.

Could we cause another shock just like at Brentford on Saturday?we were about to see.

City players ran out to a more than dead stadium, other than the Bournemouth fans making a noise
Bournemouth came at Cardiff from the first second and within 5 minutes hit the crossbar after Kennedy lost the ball. :o

After about 10 minutes Cardiff took the game to Bournemouth and for a 2 minute period played decent football, then bang a 25 yard shot from Bournemouth beat Moore, 1 nil Bournemouth.

It was all Bournemouth now and City looked set for a hammering

But as the last 10 minutes of the first half came to a close, Cardiff finally took control. Whittingham had a corner headed towards goal by Manga, saved by Boruc. Craig Noone then curled the rebound inches wide. :ayatollah:

Morrison then came close, City at last alive :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

City showed they can play and for a full 10 minutes and injury time we certainly did :ayatollah: What was worrying me was when Bournemouth upped their game,we looked terrible, not closing down and even Manga getting beat

To be fair to Revell he worked hard, yet Kenwyne looked totally not interested.

Half-time City 0 Bournemouth 1

Bournemouth started like they did in the first half and hit the post within minutes.

Then went in to a stalemate.

City then got in to the game and a Whittingham corner to Manga 8 yards out, header centre of the goal, bang 1-1 :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

City improving as the game went on and now worthy of a draw :thumbright:

Final minutes all Bournemouth, but thankfully City hold out.

1-1 :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

My man of the Match Fabio or Ravell :thumbright:

Up next Birmingham home this Saturday :thumbright:

A point from a side still cruising in terms of form carried on from last season. Also, with the number of goals they've scored the fact we limited them to just one just shows that our resilience is building. The problem we'll have is in the summer big clubs will come for Manga. He's a beast of a player.

I have to agree with everything you say :thumbright:

If we lose players like Fabio and Manga then we will be in trouble.

much better 2nd half by far and deserved the point, Revell MOM for me, never stopped running and working, jones should of been taken off for doyle much earlier, didn't look atall interested,

Much much better, deserved the point. A few better timed subs and who knows we could have nicked all three.

Bournmouth were excellent mind, a joy to watch.

Annis you left out the important part of your report
you should have said about how poor our supporters were in the first half
however its no coincidence that our players got better as the fans started supporting them and the noise was upped as was the singing
imo the players responded to our supporters supporting them
so well done all especially the fans in the canton they really did up the volume :bluescarf:

Steve, Quite a few fans got on their backs big time, it does not help at all.

Always support the players during the game :thumbright: :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Really enjoyed tonight's game - the team showed real spirit.

Revell, Fabio and Bruno fought for everything. Kenwyn was the only negative, no work ethic at all. If we're going to be a team of battlers there's no place for him.

The atmosphere second half was ths best I've heard at home for ages. They feel like a team you want to cheer on when they're battling like that.

I didn't think much of Noone tonight either, or am I mistaken?

:thumbright:

Kenwyne back to his lazy self

Thats all we ask for is fight/pride and passion :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf:

Revell was MOM for me as he never stopped running. It's about time Kenwynne is dropped and I'm a fan of his. When Doyle and Revell were partnered up front,at least it looked like they were making a huge effort and perhaps it's worth stating these two up front.

Gavin, Noone can go as far as I am concerned, hot and cold, lately mostly cold.

Annis no one got on the players backs. Didn't you hear our ground is a library. And the Bournmouth fans told us so. The players battled hard today all but one Kenwyn :thefinger: Jones. And Slade is so fooking useless he waited to the end to get him off. I would of hauled him off in the first half when he made his intentions known that he was going to do fook all.
