What would you consider to be a successful league finish under Russell Slade ?
Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:39 pm
A top half finish.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:42 pm
Carl, For me top 10

after all the upheaval and remember Slade still had a good squad to still pick from.
If We beat Bournemouth who are punching above their weight and not spent massive, but are our league leaders, I will finally start to respect Slade for this League

but I still say he would never ever take us up.

The way we've been playing since he took over, for me anywhere from 21st upwards would be a success.
I think we'll actually finish about 15th or 16th.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:51 pm
I would say top half and then build on it with a play off place or better next season.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:54 pm
7-10th in my opinion.

I think a top ten finish would be considered successor tear all that has happened

Success means promotion. Otherwise you're just making up the numbers, as long as you avoid relegation of course.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 7:07 pm
Success is promotion. We won't get it. A solid season will be not be in a relaxation scrap.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 7:12 pm
Mid table, ish, doesn't matter this season. Next season there will be no excuses, it will be his side, play offs at least

A Play off place, with our aquad we shold have been at least knocking on the door, everything now is too little and too late
Mon Mar 16, 2015 7:21 pm
I would say a top 10 finish which will require above 65 points or 6 more wins. With 2 of our Home games against teams in or around us and 2 against the relegation fodder of Blackpool and Millwall it may be possible.
Achieve that and we will at least finished the season strongly.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 7:41 pm
2 points per game is automatic promotion form and that is what any of our managers for the past 5 years in the championship have been targeting. So when Slade was brought in he should have been targeting finishing on 86 points. Anything less than that should be considered a failure but I would have accepted a playoff spot. Anything less than that and he really should be sacked.

honestly , it's been a disastrous season , the football is terrible to watch , the only thing successful about this season is us going back to blue. If Slade is still here next season, a successful season would be challenging for the playoffs , but I haven't seen any evidence to suggest Slade is the man to do it for us. Slade is out of his depth and should be given his P45 at the end of this season
Mon Mar 16, 2015 8:24 pm
Anything above mid table unfortunately I believe that's as much his abilities will take us. Between 15th and 10th place.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 10:04 pm
Avoiding relegation is a success in my eyes considering the squad has had the good parts removed and replaced by cheap imports.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 10:35 pm
within 5 points of the play offs....
and a proper plan for promotion next year.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 10:39 pm
Got to win most of our remaining matches and see where we get ,what if we win the next two games others drop points do you think we could sneak 6 th place on last day of the season ?

never going to happen

This season, mid table. Slade inherited a shambles.
Mon Mar 16, 2015 11:45 pm
Top 10, considering our terrible season

Even if we win most of our games, play offs is still a long shot, it would take something incredible for us to reach 6th
Tue Mar 17, 2015 6:16 am
I'm still going for 9th

This season has been awful, the football side has been shit and that's an understatement. As a team we are too slow going forward as we seem to want to slow it down and have a slow build up. We should be in the play off's at least. Anything less is not acceptable.
Tue Mar 17, 2015 1:55 pm
At start season playoffs at least! But knowing what know now about all changes in player's mid table is ok
Tue Mar 17, 2015 3:28 pm
No lower than 14th and top 10 would be decent outcome considering
Tue Mar 17, 2015 4:18 pm
Anything above the relegation places, get this season over and pray that someone else is in the manager's chair come pre-season!
This season is effectively finished for us and it has been majorly disappointing!
Lots of people to blame from Tan to Malky (yes, I know he'd already gone!) to Ole to Slade to us fans ourselves!
I could have just about lived with Ole's 'cavalier' style and toying with the top 6, but Slade's anti-football policy is making the match experience one that is driving even some of the previously most loyal fans away...and that cannot be good for the future after recent seasons successes have whetted the appetite!
Just my personal opinion, of course!

Bring back DJ,played better football under him than anyone since.

Minimum requirement for Slade was the play-offs. He has seriously under-achieved.
