It's been a bit of a mixture of feelings for me today, got a call from Annis this morning who asked me to put a sticky on the forum regarding the new badge as he was out of the house on the school run.

My first impressions of the badge were good, I like the design and the fact that the club are showing that the badge features a dragon, very very similar to that that stands proudly outside Cardiff City Town Hall and therefore could be deemed as a local feature.

Let's be honest though the dragon is a nod to the owner Vincent Tan, who is doing his best to drive the club in the right direction after a couple of turbulent seasons in which a huge amount of money was spent.

Tan originally wanted the rebrand as payment for his investment, but he has bowed to fans pressure and returned us to Blue and give us a badge we can be proud of, with a prominent Bluebird upon it.

But yet again, the typical vocal minority of Cardiff fans are pouting about a tiny dragon on the badge as requested by the owner, despite the fact we all knew it was coming.....

'The Club badge will be redesigned to reflect the dominance of the Bluebird, while celebrating the proud history and heritage of the Club. I also wish to incorporate elements representative of my culture and beliefs, which I hope are respected'

What more must this man do to earn the respect of the fans......

How about just giving us our original badge back from when he took over in the first place and leaving ALL memories of these horrendous last few years behind us?

I will be re-buying a season ticket next year by the way as I've always maintained because we're blue again, and I won't disrupt the club by booing Tan or anything like that, I will just never cheer/sing his name or "respect" him.

Also I just named 5 errors, none of which have been fully reversed to say the least.

The bad does not outweigh the good. Yes the rebrand was hurtful but he's kept this club afloat and provided premier league football. Which we've been dreaming of for years. Yes it wasn't the best season but hey ho.

He's put us back in or true colours. He more than likely won't change debt to equity but I wasn't expecting it anyway.

I disagree, the good far outweighs the bad, by a country mile, before Tan the echo headlines read:

'Club fails to pay players'

'HMRC to wind up City'

'Club to sue CCFC for non payment of fees owed'

He's a clever man, and knows how to play the fans.

If we hadn't turned back to blue there would have been such a backlash, especially after the obvious cost cutting in January.

For the record I'm very much glad we're back in blue, and also glad of the cost cutting, but I firmly believe Tan's interests were at heart when he chose to turn us back to blue. He's not stupid.

Unfortunately, money has killed football and with tan, this reversal of the rebrand is purely to make him look good for any potential future business partners.

Hopefully, one day, Cardiff City Football Club, will be run by the fans.

This badge will filter out the moaners for the sake of moaning brigade. Some people are happy being unhappy.

Personally I don't like the Dragon but Im prepared to live with it,but if people want to pout as you put it its up to them as they have opinions.
