My first impressions of the badge were good, I like the design and the fact that the club are showing that the badge features a dragon, very very similar to that that stands proudly outside Cardiff City Town Hall and therefore could be deemed as a local feature.
Let's be honest though the dragon is a nod to the owner Vincent Tan, who is doing his best to drive the club in the right direction after a couple of turbulent seasons in which a huge amount of money was spent.
Tan originally wanted the rebrand as payment for his investment, but he has bowed to fans pressure and returned us to Blue and give us a badge we can be proud of, with a prominent Bluebird upon it.
But yet again, the typical vocal minority of Cardiff fans are pouting about a tiny dragon on the badge as requested by the owner, despite the fact we all knew it was coming.....
Tan said in January:
'The Club badge will be redesigned to reflect the dominance of the Bluebird, while celebrating the proud history and heritage of the Club. I also wish to incorporate elements representative of my culture and beliefs, which I hope are respected'
What are people Doing to show respect? Calling the dragon 'a worm' 'a ferret' 'a piece of shit'
What more must this man do to earn the respect of the fans......
The mind boggles.

How about not disrespecting the fans and club by changing our identity in the first place?
How about not creating almost irrepairable damage by splitting our fanbase and disullisioning so many true supporters that they fell out of love with their club? The ridiculously low attendances now are certainly a consquence of that (amongst other things), we've been a mid-table Championship club before with higher attendance than this.
How about not sacking the most successful manager this club has had in decades (fact) and replacing him with 2 of the most tactically inept managers in our history, whilst ignoring much better candidates such as Pulis?
How about not trying to influence football matters so much, as has been confirmed/suggested by several people including former players (such as Juan Cala)?
How about just giving us our original badge back from when he took over in the first place and leaving ALL memories of these horrendous last few years behind us?

Totally blinkered from anything good that has been done by Tan, nevermind the fact the only major error he made has now been reversed.

I didn't say he hasn't done anything good, just that the bad far outweights any good in my opinion.
What about what I said is incorrect? You asked the question, I was just explaining the reasons as how I see it.
I will be re-buying a season ticket next year by the way as I've always maintained because we're blue again, and I won't disrupt the club by booing Tan or anything like that, I will just never cheer/sing his name or "respect" him.

The fans now only have to make one tiny compromise now though Cal, and even that impossible for some.

Also I just named 5 errors, none of which have been fully reversed to say the least.

Our fans will moan about anything. I'm not a fan of the badge, looks rushed, but it'll do.
The one thing that pisses me off is the people looking for excuses not to attend games next year. The ones who were all for 'Blue in League 2' are now boycotting next year due to us being shitSo much for loyal fans aye

I can't see us changing this badge for a while, so why didn't the club commission an actual designer to come up with some designs?
The badge uses the strange shield we used around our badge a few years back, a Bluebird and dragon stuck on it, with a ribbon across the top.
The layout is clumsy, the proportions are all wrong, and the use of colours isn't great.
As I've said elsewhere, a nice concept but a terrible execution.

I don't think it's even that. Just another example of how amateur we are as a club.
Amazing to think we've been in the premier league.
Still, an improvement on the beer mat, but it's such a wasted opportunity.
