" ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING CARDIFF CITY FANS/WHERE ARE U? "
The actual real attendance Saturday of Cardiff Fans was 11,350

(So Ive been told) plus 950 Charlton fans,to me that is absolutely shocking.
Personally I thought there was a couple more thousand than that, but even that would not be good.
We have our Identity back so there is NO excuses at all
Yes we are now a Championship club, but we are virtually safe from relegation.
Yes the football has not been good at all, BUT surely We Support Cardiff City through the Good and Bad times?
We all miss some matches through family commitments etc,but this has been happening virtually all season?
Also Ive been told season ticket sales for next season are awful.
I for one will be renewing my families and mine later this month as usual,I hope thousands of others will to

11,350!! That's horrendous, most league 1 sides could get those crowds!
Mon Mar 09, 2015 1:57 pm
I was there and I travelled from kent, that's a shocking turn out annis

I wish I could go to games but the fact that the club are demanding an extra £350 to reactivate my season ticket is disgusting, i had paid off the finance for my season card in January and got the proof which the club won't accept and won't even let me purchase a ticket on match day's!
It's beyond a joke what they've done to me and my family, and the fact the club won't co-operate, to let us watch our club is a complete joke!

What did you do to get it deactivated?
Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:20 pm
They can't just click their fingers and expect the crowds to come rushing back. They took the piss for far too long and the result is a disillusioned, disconnected community that has no trust in the people running the club. It's gonna take a while to get back to where we were.
Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:21 pm
I would but trying to justify paying £28 for a ticket is an absolute joke. Unless you've got a season ticket its just no value for your money
Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:21 pm
According to the club Jon there is an outstanding bill on the season tickets, but when I spoke to the finance company as far as they are concerned out season tickets have been paid off.
So when I spoke to cardiff again they've turned around and said that the finance company are wrong but when I checked a bank statement the 'outstanding bill' had gone out of my account to the club, it's basically a circus and everyone is blaming everyone else with no resulting outcome!

Why not ask to speak to the manager meet him with the proof if needed, or have you already spoken to manager?

I told you this would happen
15 of us in our row ( if to be believed) are not renewing and most of us have followed City for years (not that it should make a difference).
Most of us have got fed up with the way the Club has conducted itself over the past couple of years. Added to this the SHOCKING football being served up, I mean SHOCKING

.
People want something for their hard earned cash in this day and age! To me a little bit of effort wouldn't go amiss, like being in a brawl at a night club when you are injured rather than on the field. At least the washing bill must have gone down as there has not been a lot of sweat on those shirts
This has been brewing for months and the Club has either ignored it or are really totally out of touch with us.
Also the prices are far to high for ST for the majority who would rather spend it elsewhere. I just cannot justify it spending what I spend to my family.
I didn't go on Saturday as I couldn't be bothered and knew we would lose! I might go to the Bournemouth game just to see us trashed by a team that plays football.
Both the Club, team and players talking the same rubbish to the media has become a tad BORING
Before the keyboard warriors have a pop at me, I am in the Majority the way I feel and the final figures for next seasons ST will prove that.
The Club had better act quickly as once people stop going it will be hard to get them back
Finally I once posted on here that I knew more ex City fans than ones who go!
That will become a torrent of them soon
Mon Mar 09, 2015 2:43 pm
It's a combination of everything that's happened over the last couple of years. Also, the entertainment being served up is dreadful, and a lot of supporters can't see anything changing under the current management team. To be fair, between twelve and fifteen thousand would be par for the course for this club when they are mid table with little to play for. We would find an extra seven or eight thousand if we were fighting for promotion. I will carry on going and take my punishment, but if we have the same management team and the same type of football next season, we won't average much over 10,000.

Have they sorted the pay monthly option now? Can't afford £250 straight off, need to do it per month!

You say this as if this should be EVERYONE'S reason for coming back.
It is not. I'm afraid the power if the rebrand reversal was greatly exaggerated.

Wayne, I am also saying if you put the whole post up, fans should not desert when there are bad times on the pitch, you support your club through good and bad times

Too much apathy, I agree the football is bad But il be there whenever possible through thick and thin. I don't get all this 'i can't afford it because they are playing bad' bollocks

Not gone to watch Cardiff since before Christmas currently having 6months of chemotherapy.
Would gladly watch city no matter what standard of football they play...and not have cancer .
been part of my life for 40 years....let's hope for a long. Time yet.

If you believe this. Where would another 23000 fit in the stadium?
I think the figures are wrong somewhere
Mon Mar 09, 2015 3:54 pm
Only a tenner a ticket and still only 11.000 odd turn out.The remaning home fixtures are far from attractive, what will the attendances be then, especially if the club dont offer the discounted ticket price?

I understand you are saying that people should not desert the club just because of (supposed) bad times.
But a better quality has a bigger effect on getting fans back than the cancelled rebrand.
The return to blue and a new crest was important but it was not the reason many were staying away. Only those heavily affected by the rebrand were pushing this 'story'.

They wont be back untill the prem sadly thats the fan base we have. what next from the lame book of excuses that fans are giving for not renewing #NewbadgeOrNoRenew

cringeworthy

Like I have said,I thought maybe a couple more thousand, but thats still awful and surely if your at the matches the ground is now more than half empty just by looking at it.
Mon Mar 09, 2015 4:36 pm
A tenner a ticket for the family end which is always more than half empty,i payed £28 for the Wolves game,i'm in full time employment and work every other weekend and go to games when i can,i've had a season ticket for the previous 3 years but found it very difficult swopping shifts around and found that it started taking over things in my life that are far more important than football, also not everyone's as fortunate as some on here, able to go to every game home and away, must cost a fortune, and the amount of time spent away from the family,i've got 3 dogs dogs and about to adopt another from a rescue center, fitting it all in can prove very difficult,i would be great if i did'nt have to work and had plenty of time and money to follow my team up and down the country, does'nt make me any less a fan than someone more fortunate than me,i don't get time to read a book, let alone write one hmmmm
Mon Mar 09, 2015 4:42 pm
People have just had enough, let's face it it has been years and years of nonsense, constant playoff failure, debts, court cases, Langston, then the rebrand and tans lies about debt to equity. The fallout post malky, pretty shocking season last year after all the years of trying to get there. The jacks doing it effortlessly, fans being ignored, taken the piss out by the owners, no atmosphere in the ground, over zealous stewarding not to mention £35 a ticket if you haven't got an ST, what a total rip off.
Then there's the shocking football and a team full of overpaid twats who couldn't give a shit. Looking at this, I'm amazed we have any fans left at all, many just walked over the rebrand and they can't be arsed to come back as they have better things to do.
Mon Mar 09, 2015 4:44 pm
With that headline , I thought you had turned into Delia Smith for a minute
Mon Mar 09, 2015 4:46 pm
I felt like shit manflu and up to about 1pm i was going however in the end the flu got to me and could face going, guted i couldn't even give my ST away, I agree though although the football we are watching was as bad as i felt on saturday we must support the boys through the good and bad times ,we have had some really good years so come on every one get your asses down there for our next game.
Mon Mar 09, 2015 6:11 pm
I enjoy watching my sons play football on a Sat afternoon, far more than I have watching the City the last 2 seasons. Their team give 100% every game, win lose or draw. When our overpaid players start doing the same, then I'll start going to more games, doesn't seem like they are at the moment. As for buying a season ticket, there's no need to buy one, just as there wasn't back in the day...

I agree with you annis know where are they they said they would come back if we went back to blue these are not bad times yes the football hasn't been great but we have seen worse times than this
Mon Mar 09, 2015 6:42 pm
We know from historical record that when things are really bad there is only a core of about 4,000 fans who will go no matter what. Give them a bit of hope or entertainment and you will get about 10,000 even in a lower division. To get 25,000 you have to convince people we are on the verge of promotion to the premier league.
I'd expect average attendances next year to be about 14,000. There is some hope and occasional entertainment. However, there is nothing on offer to encourage the 15,000 that would turn up for a trip to wembley or a game against Liverpool that it is worth parting with their cash on a regular basis.

I don't always agree with your posts especially on the football side of things, but this post you are spot on in everything you have said. Have posted before that unfortunately for a lot of people and not just our club one thing matters. The results and performance on the pitch. They hide behind different issues the club has had and I have more respect for the ones who say they won't go because they aren't entertained. A long road ahead but hasn't it always been? For me a happy bluebird with colours and badge back
