Manager looks for victory over Blackburn after back to back draws

The Bluebirds' next clash is this coming Tuesday - at home to Blackburn Rovers - and in the Manager's eyes, represents a great opportunity to push forward.

“It was important that we earned a clean sheet [against Brighton], though I’m disappointed that we couldn’t grab a goal," he admitted. "Neither side could play between the lines because the midfield was so packed – it was difficult to maneuver the ball at times. We need to build against Blackburn after back to back draws.

“If we can grab back-to-back wins then the picture changes immediately in this division. We believe and we are positive that in our next challenge we can get three points.

"We have another chance next Tuesday to move forward and create some belief. There have been positives in the past two games; we are not however, the finished article.”

How good is this "finished article" going to be? F@@&ing shit probably so were not going to be any better off are we! :x

Just because you have pushed a turd all of the way out doesent make it stink any less does it?!

At least Ole's turd didn't smell so bad, although its been mostly broken up and flushed away. :(

Honestly cant see any positives from the game or many other games slade has managed.
Me and all the boys by me were all bored shitless concerned and embarrassed to what we have become.
Every fan and journalist has worked us out as have other teams we are clueless guttless and un inspired.
Seen many cardiff teams face the drop but not like this we have nose dived down this division it shocking.
I was bored with the football on tuesday it angered me so much I just can't face it again on Tuesday I have to sit it out I just got angry in the stands .
If my team loose a game or games but play to 100 % with good tactical backing from the manager ill never moan who could .
Ill never boo my team but we are so poor under slade I understand the ones that do.

The club dismiss the word relegation but they need to wake up its very real we are in a battle here and now and the football we are serving up I am very concerned if if the club wont admit it.

Shocking awful boring negative football with humpdy dumpty in charge.

Lets face it Slade is clueless!

Ole struggled to know his best team and chopped and changed constantly, result?! We got relegated. If Slade can't see by the time we play Blackburn we could be just three points above the relegation zone as being a sign we're in trouble, lord only knows what will.

We need to sack him now while we still have 16 matches left. Playoffs are, and have been impossible for a while but let's get someone in who can steady the ship and keep us in the league. I didn't believe we were in a relegation battle up to now but I do now.

Slade out!

Slade is having a laugh.

Yes, we kept a clean sheet but that was was purely through good fortune as we were a shambles. The 8 man ruck in our box said it all. We were lucky to be playing Brighton, if it had been a top team we would have been totally smashed. I suppose that Slade has to say things like that to keep his job whereas deep down he knows we were dreadful and have been in every game for months.

Play like that next Tuesday against Blackburn and Rhodes/Rudy will tear us apart. We will be well and truly beaten.

Hang on, the last game was a "MUST WIN" game.
The only positive I can see, is that Slade is rubber stamping how bad a manager he is.

Slade is an idiot...there was nothing positive from the Brighton game..it was a shambles from start to finish..luckily Brighton were as bad as us

Slade reminds me of Hitler in the last days of the war where he was entombed in his bunker thinking he had extra Panzer regiments to call upon where in fact he had none,I would suggest Slade is in his own bunker in the last days of his tenure

After each game no matter how awful the performance the fat controller ALWAYS bigs it up, it's like he's deluded... he's obviously not watching the same match as the rest of us. If we loose or draw the next couple of game we will really be in trouble.

Re: RUSSELL SLADE:"THERE HAVE BEEN POSITIVES IN THE LAST 2 G

Positives!!!??? There were certainly no positives from the 'must win' game against Brighton. The clean sheet was due to the fact that they were as pathetic as we were. Slade just waffles all the time. Does the man know anything about football? It has been time for him to go for some time now. In fact he should never have been appointed in the first place.

Positive spin as he's under pressure and fighting for his job, he will need more than a couple of draws to keep his job !!!

Guaranteed VT will turn up for the Wolves game and we will beat them and then it will be "There I told you so", he will go back to Malaysia and then guaranteed we will get stuffed by Real Rotherham on the Tuesday :(

Re: RUSSELL SLADE:"THERE HAVE BEEN POSITIVES IN THE LAST 2 G

Thu Feb 12, 2015 4:12 pm

How can Slade see any positives from that dreadful display?

The man is deluded.

It was so predictable the man would champion a clean sheet.

Surprised he didn't mention that his team have not conceded from open play for 2 and a half games of football.

Some question whether it will be a good thing in the long run if (as expected) Blackburn win as that may be the straw that broke the camel's back and see the end of Slade but I cannot see Slade being sacked.

I hate this We must take the positives , when there isn't any. He calls keeping a clean sheet a positive ? Ok I will agree on that. But that was one but the only one out of a game that we should have won . Our best chance to grab 3 points against a team that can buy a win. Slade is picking Nat shit out of pepper.

Re: RUSSELL SLADE:"THERE HAVE BEEN POSITIVES IN THE LAST 2 G

Only positive against Brighton is that they were equally as bad.

Re: RUSSELL SLADE:"THERE HAVE BEEN POSITIVES IN THE LAST 2 G

Thu Feb 12, 2015 6:17 pm

When he says "finished article" I think the emphasis is on "finished"' he talks like he is the manager of a doomed team like Blackpool! He sets his teams up expecting to lose and anything better is a result! He seems to be not surprised that in each match he concedes possession percentage by an alarming amount and hasn't worked out that it is mighty difficult to score goals from your own half or when the other team has possession! I'm sure his heart is in the right place but please please go now Russell.

Correct, it was more brightons inability to create anything rather than our superior defence keeping a clean sheet.
