' THOUSANDS OF CARDIFF CITY FANS HAVE TURNED THEIR BACKS ON CCFC '
Thousands of Cardiff City fans have turned their back on the club, last night I was told by a steward that there was actually only about 12,500 Cardiff fans in the stadium, the lowest for years
Link
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=142949Even though thousands of City fans have already paid for this Season they are staying away and it looks like its going to get worse.
Season ticket sales are at their lowest for years for next season.
The attendance announced last night was 19,206 including nearly 400 Brighton fans. When City announced the crowd last night the stadium roared with laughter.
City fans have their Blue back, but it seems even that wont bring back the missing fans.
Cardiff have only won 2 games from their last 13 games under Russell Slade including struggling to beat Colchester United.
The football Russell Slade is dishing up is not even up to the standard of a 3rd Division Club.
The team were loudly booed off in the first half and second half.
Lee Peltier walked over to the City fans in the Ninian Stand and apologised on a number of occasions

Are the Club heading to the old 3rd Division?
WHERE DOES THE CLUB GO FROM HERE? ? ?

I am afraid the rot has set in!
Only a complete change at Management and some of the staff will alter things.
Get someone in now who can assess the players and get what he wants in the summer before RS wastes time and money on getting what he wants.
To start with get a Manager with a name who has a track record, only then will us fans rest easy
The dressing room has gone
Wed Feb 11, 2015 8:47 am
Only one man responsible, Slade has to go and now !
Wed Feb 11, 2015 9:21 am
i agree slade has lost the dressing room big changes need to happen now or cardiff relegated simple

I've never felt the need to boo the players, its not going to help. The guy in front of me constantly barracked at every mistake booed his lungs out at half time, didn't get them to play better in the second half did it!
You wouldn't do it in your own work environment, imagine someone getting it wrong all the time you wouldn't boo when they walked into the building would you? What seems to be missing by the hierarchy is to be able to seek out the root causes of the situation.
The fans often say it's the players, when Mr Slade arrived he had plenty to choose from so his choice are now on the field
Most people around me are maybes to renew their seats, as are my gang of 4, it's not even the cost, it's just the general disappointment after disappointment that most people can't take, last night was a prime example I was actually excited about going to the game as new blood, and so on on display, what a total let down
Most people on the forum have a fair idea what the root cause is and in any organisation, it has to be at the Top! So Mr Tan, sort it out

I have been told that on the return flight from Middlesbrough a few weeks ago Ken Choo publicly slated Russell Slade in front of the players and other staff. This is a sure fire way of removing any credibility amongst the players for their manager, I don't think much of Russell Slade but the rot that has set in goes a few echelons higher.

Only goes to show Annis most of the no blue no renew gang were just jumping on the band waggon and had np intention of renewing anyway. Never mind be back to just us real fans next season

Nothing new under the sun. Fans desert a struggling side. We've been spoilt this last ten to fifteen years. A whole generation only know relative success. But those of us who are left, and that includes many young supporters, really need to support the team. We can't do much about the management, or ownership, but we can get behind the players. Confidence is low, booing them will not improve things. They've got a week now to try and sort a few things out. Let's get behind them at the Blackburn game.
Anybody who stops going now, for footballing reasons, simply does not have the stomach for a relegation battle. This is how it's going to be for the foreseeable future.

The party is over and fans need to get used to it. It looked like league one football last night.
Couldnt believe first half we lumped the ball to kenwynne who had no support with him.
I fear for our club.
Wed Feb 11, 2015 10:45 am
It was so bad 1st half last night, 4-5-1 poor kJ on his own no support, route one FFS
when the city wingers got into Brightons half 3 defenders waiting No support from city players and lost the ball
it was shocking
1st shot 49min

the deflected shot rolled to the goalie
We`ve had - 2 terrible clueless managers, 1 from Norway 1 from Div 3 NO SURPRISE WEVE HAVE BEEN SHITE
selected by business men with no idea about football
Dalman and Tan must take the blame they made the decisions
they okay`d the new players
Gone backwards 6/7 years to before Dave Jones started , this Division is the worst its ever been no real outstanding sides
should have pissed this division
Now we just need to Survive if we can
New Manager start fresh for next season

A few games ago, I thought the fear of relegation was rediculous being 11 points above the relegation zone. Now it´s 6 points and the performances are in fact getting worse. Maybe not so rediculous anymore.
Replacing the managing staff seven games out in the season, throwing out most of the players who just signed, changing the playing style completely. A good way to run a club? Not sure.
Then Slade coming in using every opportunity to tell how bad the squad is, what a mess the club is in, in general how incredible difficult the job is.
Expecting the players to be top motivated?

Still, I´m pretty damn sure we would have been doing a lot better keeping the first clueless one.

What`s so annoying is the players/squad we had at the beginning of the season should have pissed this division
yet our Norwegian idiot had no system of how to play , didn't know his best team or how to get the best out of the players
what position were we in when he left bottom half, and this numpty is even worse
Fabio and Declan are far better fullbacks what it going on "CLEARLY HIS MAN MANAGEMENT IS SHITE"
Fabio played in the Champions League final against Barca yet not good enough for last nights team WOW
last nights 1st half was so bad is was funny were are supposed to try and put the ball in the net Mr Slade FFS

Annis, you said in an earlier post that certain executives, or the higher echelons, were or have been embarrassed by RS.
Can you elaborate on this?

I agree - a well organised team with the players we had at the start of the season, would have won the majority of matches. We have been crap all season but most other teams have not been much better.
It is just that THEY
HAVE ALL BEEN BETTER.

Speaking to people in work and they were looking for an excuse not to have to go, these are people who have had season tickets for a long long time.

You're correct on this one, fella!
I said many times that with one or two notable and genuinely principled exceptions, e.g. 'Ely boy' and 'Bluebird1977' (there are a few others) the real fans of Cardiff City FC stayed with the club throughout the whole sorry saga
Too many people with no real interest in Cardiff City FC seized on the opportunity to jump on the negativity bandwagon and now Tan has returned the colours they have suddenly reneged on their "promises" to return
IF the blue was returned and are looking for other reasons to bullshit us as to why they are not returning!
Sadly BU were a prime example of "people jumping on a bandwagon" and it was clear from the start that the good (initial) works carried out by the few with a genuine agenda were going to be usurped by the more sinister and self-seeking amongst their so-called support
Russell Slade (and last night Carl Curtis) were bang on when they said this club were "in transition" but that 'transition' is not only taking place in the corridors and changing rooms of the CCS, but also on the terraces and in the stands
Putting it bluntly, thousands of Cardiff City FC 'fans' who jumped on the Wembley/Premier League Bandwagon have now jumped off because they had no real commitment to the club and no stamina for the fight that may lay ahead on and/or off the field

Rick,
I got told that after Slade walked out of the press day,the other week, our Chairman(not a Slade fan any way) and CEO were embarrassed by him and thats why they both sat in on the last one.

I said even when we were in the Premier League that this club probably has 5,000 or so genuine supporters. When we were playing in the bottom division, 5,000 was a good gate, and if we end up back there in a couple of seasons I doubt that we would have many more this time around. You can see how quickly we have lost around 10.000 so called supporters in less than a year, and plenty more will follow now the glory days have gone.

I don't care who comes or not. I'll be there!

For many years Cardiff City could get away with playing badly and pulling the crowds in, because people felt a deep emotional connection to the club.
Prior to this season, you could count the number of home games me and my Dad have missed in the last 25 years on 1 hand.
This season, because of all the Red bullshit, we didn't renew our season tickets and we haven't been to one City game this season.
It hurts me to say this, but I literally couldn't care less about the club anymore and most of the time I don't even realise when they're playing.
I used to be a diehard City fan and spent thousands travelling all over the UK to watch them, but the rebrand has done a lot of damage and it's going to take a long time to repair.
I thought I'd feel differently about the club when they went back to Blue and I was hoping my passion would return, but I guess it's too late and I'm guessing that there are thousands more people who feel just like me.

I've stomached relegations since 1975!
Like others have said I didn't used to miss an home game, even when I was on dialysis I would struggle down to home games !
I thought Osman and Hibbitt, and of course Durban were clueless, but Spade takes it to a new level !
I've missed eight games at home already this season, I just can't get any motivation to go, when I do go we just seen to sadly laugh at how bad the team is !

I agree. Watched them play under every manager since the Scoular days, and this is as bad as I've ever seen. Last night reminded me of the days when we towards the bottom of the league, and I'm afraid Slade looks like being the worse manager we've had in my time. I think we will be very close to being bottom 3 by end of this month.

were customers, were not getting value for money so aint going back, untill we do get value for money

thats an awful lot of fair weather, fickle fans. i knew we had our fair share but thats much higher than i thought, its certainly a wake up call to those that think we have a large, loyal and supportive fan base that will support the club through thick and thin.
now that they can't point to the rebrand what is their excuse now?
Thu Feb 12, 2015 1:48 am
I left the game at half time last night, first time in 10 years I've been watching Cardiff. They weren't bothering to play, and there was 8 empty seats next to me on my row (even more on the rows in front and behind me). Couldn't be bothered freezing in a stand by myself watching a team not bothering to play on the pitch where the loudest sounds were ironic cheers to be honest.
Sure, I'll come down and watch their next home game, hoping things have improved, but I'm not surprised that a lot of people aren't bothering to turn up at all - I wouldn't mind so much if we were losing but putting in effort, but not even that's happening.
