CITY STILL ONLY PLAYED WELL FOR 45 MINS AGAINST A MEDIOCRE SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY TEAM.
I Have to say the first half was one of the best displays since Russell Slade has been here![]()

Sheffield Wednesday 1 Cardiff City 1
Crowd 22,344
Cardiff City Team :
Moore, Peltier, Manga, Morrison, Malone, Whittingham, O'Keefe, Gunnarsson, McAleny, Jones, Doyle.
Over 1,000 Cardiff Fans travelled the near 400 mile round journey.
This game was Russell Slade's chance to put the record straight, after only 1 win from his last 9 gamesSlade now had 7 of his own players he had brought in as well as a large squad of talented players to chose from, so there would be No more excuses today against a middle table Sheffield Wednesday team who had won any of their 3 previous league games.
Loved the first half, 45 mins of passion, hard working performances, all up for it, Kenwyne Jones everywhere and even scored from a header in the 6th minute to show again why our top scorer needs to start.
O'Keefe was poor today.
Doyle was everywhere and looked up for it but why was he taken off?
McAleny was lively.
Peltier had a solid game before going off.
Malone provided the goal for Kenwyne Jones.
We deserved the first half and were well worth our 1-0 lead.![]()
YET AGAIN ANOTHER 45 MINS OF CITY GOING MISSING AND SLADE NOT BEING ABLE TO COMBAT THE OPPOSITION CHANGING FORMATION, VERY WORRYING![]()
We let Wednesday back in the game and thankfully held on to a 1-1 draw against a team who had the 2nd worst home record for conceding goals at home.
Now it is just the one win in our last ten league game and that surely has to start improving asap, will we go down, no! Thankfully there are worse teams in the division than us.
Am I happy with a point away from home, yes of course I am, just disappointed with 2nd 45 minutes once again.
My man of the match is Kenwyne Jones
Next up struggling Brighton at home this Tuesday night

Agree about Doyle, I thought Slade made some strange decisions today.
We're not out of the woods yet when it comes to the bottom three, but Tuesday is huge. If we can win that, then that should make us safe.

Ned, totally agree if we had played the second half like we did the first,we would tonight be celebrating a win.
Doyle,why take him off?
Ned, I can't see us going down, but we must beat teams like Brighton,Millwall and Blackpool to stay up

Wednesday changed their formation 2nd half and we were then on the back foot and never looked in the game then.

To Slades credit, he has stated more than once that the team is in transition, I think we all thought that we already had the players required, but it was probably a worse set of assembled players than we first imagined

Wasn't at the game but sounds like Wednesday changed things at half time and had the better half thats where managers need to earn there money .
Hope the team do well Tuesday also hope slade starts showing his managerial experience and we go on a good run because we are getting closer and closer to the bottom teams.its a game of two halfs after all.

That's just it if fans in the stand can see the other team changed formation and was all over us. Why can't slade counter act that like all managers try do....worrying. it's not a new thing either its been going on for ages and why we only play one half of football
