Stopped watching tele by accident as I didn't hook the tele up when I moved so just DVDs I choose for the kids, me and missus are enjoying not having it and it's staying off!

Same here mate, no arial in my TV, no arial in my car radio. I choose what information comes into my life apart from the odd exception that can't be helped. We could spend our whole life ranting about the wrongs in the world but just focus on the good (and Cardiff city) and you won't go far wrong

Watching the news will hinder all I have said above. Feeling sad for people I do not know is wasted energy, wasted thoughts. Feeling anger towards groups I don't know are for real or not is pointless too. ISIS were the good guys when they were trying to oust Assad in Syria, I just give up caring now

The news is only one angle of what's going on in the world. They just want everyone living in fear, we are easier to manipulate that way.

We live in an incredibly privileged country and our personal freedom and privacy are sacrificed for security. The increase in social media has meant that politicians now can't act without public approval. Look at when politicians were called back into the commons to decide if we should invade Syria. Public outcry across the media meant we didn't. Which was wrong but we had an influence.

The vote is the only power we have. People have died for that right. We went to 2 world wars to protect peoples right to vote for how Britain should be run. We will have a In/Out referendum in 2017 possibly. How much power should individuals be given?. That is huge.

Difference between us not invading Syria and invading Libya was Libya owned 8% of the pipelines that supplied America's oil and Syria doesn't. Therefore no financial benefit. We havent done nothing, i can say for certain that weve done alot under the scene. And can say for certain that countries have alot planned.

You are right, it is very unclear how this group was formed. Western governments some say have a long history of sponsoring groups who's purported aim is to destroy western civilization. Taliban etc.
