We have around 16,000 season ticket holders now... when we were red... with arguably high prices.
What makes you say we'll have a few thousand less supporters now that we're in blue and the club have announced cheaper season tickets for next season?

Most people will see an increase though from price freeze.
Last season some hoped we would stay up.

Today hit home to me the stadium is too big, I seen this game as a massive date in the history of the club when in actual fact it's watching Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney et al that gets the crowds in, sad but true

Announcement yesterday said an extension on price freeze, plus reductions in prices for non-price freeze ST's to match the extension!

Jon in previous seasons fans have renewed for low price freezes, cup finals & the possibility of Premiership football.
Next season will be different unless we have a big improvement and make the play offs. The probability will be fans will be renewing for a mid table, Championship side. If that is the case I think there will be a big drop off in season ticket sales. The drop off would have been massive if Tan had not turned us back to Blue. I was hoping Tan would have offered some sort of deal to existing season ticket holders for this coming season at Thursdays meeting, to persuade existing season ticket holders to renew.
I have been watching Cardiff for a long time and our supporters have a tendency to pick and choose games depending on how the team are doing. The success of the club over the last couple of seasons has forced people to buy season tickets so they can watch the big games. If we finish the season outside the play offs, I will be very surprised if we get more than 12,000 season tickets next year.
I hope I am wrong and we sell more, but that's how I see it.

You have a fair point, but I don't think it would go as low as 12,000 for next season yet. I think we'd lose about a thousand or so. You never know, we might have a good run of form now after yesterday, just in time for the season ticket renewals.

When we played PL football it was no problem to fill the stadium, so why was it a problem after 3 years not playing our traditional colour? I am not disappointed , I had a great day but can't help feeling we are 10,000 seats too many for what the club is.
