' David Marshall and Fabio Da Silva to be Sold? '
The strong rumours going around are
Marshall City will accept £4-£5million for and Fabio £2million ?
Would they be missed?
I say yes badly.

Goalkeeper Everton bound
JANUARY 11, 2015 NEWS, TRANSFER NEWS
Goalkeeper Goodison bound
Everton are on the verge of signing Cardiff City goalkeeper David Marshall according to a number of reports, with the rumour mill going into over drive.
The Daily Star and the Liverpool Echo have been running the stories and fans are confident that the goalie is due in this week in a deal which could rise to £6m.
The 29 year old glovesman impressed in the Premier League last season with Cardiff and he has played 29 times in all competitions this season.

Yep the pair of them would be missed I wondered where Marshall was today tbh . Tan will sell what he can imo to try balance the books

All about wages lads both on too much to be sustainable in this league without tans constant money going in month to month

this from about hour before kick off i said on another link
from terry philips on the walesonline updates on marshall
"David Marshall is here today and we have checked - his injury is nothing to do with a transfer to Everton or anything except a slight knock. He is staying with the Bluebirds."
Sat Jan 10, 2015 7:44 pm
To be honest I thought Malone was solid today and I would take £2m for Fabio plus a reduction in wages. We need to build a sustainable club to protect our future. I know many would disagree but we have to build again and learn from the lessons learnt over the past few years.

Slade won't play Fabio so no loss.
Marshall should have gone in the summer, get a good fee for him.
Sat Jan 10, 2015 7:58 pm
From what I have been hearing today we already have suitable replacements,
I thought Marshall would be worth more than that though.
Sat Jan 10, 2015 9:01 pm
get real guys if we want debt to equity we have to balance the books first
a asked some idiot (who will remain anonomous he knows who he is )now we got our blue back what would you want next ,
he replied debt to equity I asked him when would he like it done ,
he said today .
I said how stupid that would be yes of couse we would be debt free for one day ,
but tomorrow we would start running up debts again ,
as our out goings are still more than our income ,
and yes I want tan to do debt to equity but only when my club can sustain itself
for this to happen we must reduce our wage bill
and if that means selling players then so be it
Fabio will not be missed as we have mallone / john and Connelly /brayford as cover
we wont miss marshall as moore is capable as seen today
and yes I know we would need cover but that could be easily brought in at a huge saving against marshall wages ,
these two if sold will not be the only ones going out hopefully
Sat Jan 10, 2015 9:09 pm
it would be a blow yes but no point in getting too emotional over it, its a new era, players are going to come and go
recall lewis if marshall goes...
fabio position seems to have been filled

I saw Marshall in the stadium watching the game, he won't be sold imo. However Fabio looks certain to leave.
Sat Jan 10, 2015 10:18 pm
I like Fabio. He's a pleasure to watch, however if he's not part of RS's plans then £2m will be a decent return
Sat Jan 10, 2015 10:20 pm
Feel for Moore if Marshall stays, he was great today, though inherited the Cardiff goalkeepers can't kick for toffee virus. But he deserves first team football IMO if Marshall can bring in money to help stop us getting a transfer ban next Jan then it's a good trade
Sat Jan 10, 2015 10:37 pm
Well ok it was Malone 1st game for us ,but I cant see him bring anything that we dont have now. I think Fabio works real hard .
As for Marshal well he have won games for us with his ability,We are going backwards not forward
Sat Jan 10, 2015 11:06 pm
Malone today looked terrible - unless I've got it wrong???
Sat Jan 10, 2015 11:38 pm
both are very good players. marshall's form has dipped but he's still an excellent keeper.
however, we have replacements on much lower wages and fees available who aren't that much worse. simon moore is a decent player and so is malone. they won't win you the league but they are fine for what our ambitions seem to be for now which is mid table and hopefully play offs.
i think the days of CCFC keeping and building around our best players are over, which makes promotion much more difficult.

Thanks David Marshall for your efforts over the years..will be remembered as a great keeper for us and the best in my living memory...good luck at Everton, welcome back to the club anytime!

After watching Scott Malone today I'm completely over Fabio. He's a good player but he won't be a huge loss.
Marshall however is one of the best keepers in Britain on his day. £5m would be a steal.

Yes you are

From what I've been told solid, gets forward but can't cross.

Seriously? He was one of the best players on the pitch today, along with Revell, who I think will prove all the doubters wrong (including myself) based on today's performance. I know it's only one game but they both looked really good today.

Thought Malone and Revell were two big plus points from the actual game. It's all about opinions, but don't know where you're coming from with yours.
Sun Jan 11, 2015 7:03 am
revell won more balls in the air in 45 minutes than macheda in 15 games!
he also several times laid the ball off, by chesting it down for support players to shoot.
so long since one of our forwards did that I thought they were banned from completing this skill !

Agree with both statements!

The Cardiff fans are not singing off the same song sheet as Tan so he will take us back to the level of where he found us.. In the shyte in other words.

Marshall no, especially after what RS said.
Fabio yes as he isn't part of the plan these days. His wages are too high for this league too.
Marshall on good wage but he's not a bench-warmer and gains points with the standard of his keeping.

Slade may well have only said "Hands Off Marshall," as he was trying to bump up his transfer fee!
As I said in another thread, £6 million for a great shot stopper, who unfortunately can't kick, doesn't dominate his penalty area consistently enough and £2 million for a defender who can't defend, is great business in my book!
Sun Jan 11, 2015 7:36 pm
Marshall deserves his chance if true, he owes us nothing, he's been a great servant and would go with my blessing for anything over £5m.
Fabio is obviously not in Slade's plans, but I would be amazed if we got £2m for him?

Yes but I feel he is too important to let go. As I said in another thread, £6 million for a great shot stopper, who unfortunately can't kick, doesn't dominate his penalty area consistently enough and £2 million for a defender who can't defend, is great business in my book!

Money in is great I agree.

Would marshall even get in the everton side?
Tim howard is still a great goalkeeper and is massively popular there

My father in law is an Everton supporter and from what I can gather, Howard hasn't been the same this year, their stand in Joel Robles also isn't up to much so I can see them coming in for Marshall imo
