New Badge

First of all I'm ABSOLUTELY BUZZZZZZINGGGG about today! What a day for the club and the fans! We've faught hard over the last 2 1/2 seasons and we've finally done it. Congrats to those who attended the meeting, from what I've read, you really did us all proud!

Secondly, I've see this badge floating about on different threads, I've not seen it before, just curious to know if it's been leaked/released from inside the club or is it just a fans mock up? Personally I want the old badge back but I doubt that's going to happen...

But anyway no dampners on today, lets get the CCS rockinggg!!!

How difficult is it to have a simple circle with a Bluebird in it.

If Tan wants something personal to him, then place the Welsh and Malaysian national flags on the back of the collar or even one on either sleeve. But leave the badge over my heart free.

Is this the new thing to cry about now? It's not going to be the old badge it'll be something new, chill the hell out and just wait. Enjoy the actual positives present.

Isn't the date incorrect? I thought the Club was officially formed in 1908

I have never really liked the badge above us in the banner.....As a child of the 70's the white circle with the bluebird was enough.

I would say it's a mock up! Because I did that bluebird in something else because it maches up perfect with the blue tint and shadows that I did.

I would like our previous badge back.
Tan took it away from us so I feel he should give it back, as before the rebrand.

The only other class badge design I've seen is yours Karl, the circle badge with the bluebird and the dragon's head.

You have to be proud of your club's badge.

I wonder what 'elements of his culture and beliefs' Mr Tan is going to foist on us and our identity now.

Badge above is okay if you exchange fire and passion for bluebirds and change yellow to red (as it's the away colour).

Christ definatly not. That is awful. Also i dont want that Karl Payne one, it was ok when we were looking for a compromise. But it has to be distant from the fire and passion bollocks

Thought i would clear this up. My badge was only drawn up because when wales online did a ' design a badge survey ' i didnt know about it and my brother in law said i should do one and put it online! The next day it was in the Echo. it was never done to replace our original badge! It was done to show that no thought had gone into our current badge. It wasnt done to replace our original badge, it was done with the same information as the one we have now, just more creative. Yes it was shown to CCFC but it was rejected anyways.

I like Karls but maybe time to move on from them.

I think the clue was in mehmets interview! The badge will have a bigger Bluebird but it will have something an element of tans contribution. It wont be a fans badge, it will be one designed or looked over by VT. My bet would be on the one at the top of the topic!

For me right now though its just about playing in Blue!! and then we will wait and see what VT comes up with.

I want a completely redesigned badge. I know everyone loves the old badge but I think it looks a bit old fashioned now. This is what I want from a Cardiff City badge:

- The Bluebird as the main symbol
- Our name "Cardiff City FC" (obviously)
- Predominantly blue
- Our nickname "The Bluebirds"
- The year we were founded, 1899
- Our little pick and shovel
- And maybe symbols of our Welsh heritage (St David's flag, Welsh dragon etc)

Well hopefully the only bit of "Tan's culture" we'll see on the badge is the Welsh Dragon (purely for the fact it's a dragon of course). It will be interesting though to see his input. I've always been lenient on the club badge, it's something that has never bothered me because I started going to games when Sam's badge was introduced, and since then all I've seen is year after year of changes to our badge. My list above is just a personal preference to my perfect Cardiff badge, if it has the Bluebird on it I really don't mind what it looks like.

Yeah I agree the pick n shovel isn't part of our heritage, it's a great song we sing but that's it

I think now is a great time for Karl's badge.
It incorporates the bluebird and the dragon.

Both us and Tan could be proud of it.
