Not for me, I don't know any club that idolises the owner even the best ones. That is not the culture of football, he needs to get a grip of that fact

I agree with this. I think we should at least show him how much this means to us before AND AFTER if it does happen today
even if it's just a song to say "we're all together in blue" fans and Tan if it does happen.
One reason that not many clubs idolise their owner (and we're not even talking about that so much) is because most owners don't plough £150 million of their own cash into the club to keep it afloat.

Yes, Some man by me who used to sing "Vincent tan you're a wanker" is now singing "Vincent tan is a bluebird"

But too many on here are small minded and petty. They want to go on and on about things that have happened and little battles won and lost. Sad but true.

This This This.
those who are feeling the need to still keep hating on him just make us look childish and petulant.
He made a mistake. who hasn't. the story is that he was lied to by his underlings and I don't think it's up for us to say "that's definitely not true" unless we have proof of that.
either way. yes, he made a mistake, he put it right. It is the grown up thing to do to show your respect and if not thanking him form "making us blue" (as it was his change in the first place) then thanking him for realising his mistake and rectifying it...
he has enough money to make us suffer if he really wanted to. He did the grown up thing and sucked up his ego and pride and went back on what he said.
Time for us to suck up our ego and pride as well, and try and move on.

He's returned us to our rightful colours. That's all he has done.
Thanks but anything beyond that nope.
Hes treated the fans like shit for years.

He hasn't treated us like shit on anything more than the rebrand. You seem to have forgotten promotion, cup finals, play off finals, all of which he bankrolled.
A new stand and better facilities all round!
I even remember when he spent reportedly more on players than any other club has ever done following promotion. Can't you recall posters on this board gloating and praising loads of new signings like birthdays and Christmas were coming all at the same
time.
And some of that whilst a small minority of our fans have been abusing him and even his family (when his daughter visited the stadium).
He's shown that he's man enough to admit his mistake and only the knobheads amongst our supporters will still be critical after that.
More importantly though is the fact that certain people still haven't grasped the fact that it was our acknowledgement and gratitude of what he's done so far that actually won him over the other night and that's the same approach that will keep him on side.
Or are we still dreaming of some other billionaire buying him out. Is that what the line on Sloper road was Saturday, a row of hopeful investors? and I thought it was for the burger van.
We need to learn from last weeks 'consortium' rubbish and start to realise how fortunate we are.

Absolutely no chance from me. Some of us might be happy to worship Tan as a hero now, but I will personally not forgive Tan so easily for the torture he has put me through. People like Dalman and Choo are the proper heroes for getting that egotistical dictator to eventually see sense and undo the damage he caused to our club for the past 2 and a half seasons.

Well you could look at it a different way. If you truly believe he took us for a ride, why not reverse the process and suck up to him in order to take as much of his fortune as you can to make our team and club better.
Can't you even see it from that angle.
If anyone hasn't learnt a lesson from all of this, its posters that still think they can gain anything for Cardiff City by continuing with the negativity towards Tan.
