" FERUZ ISLAM DEAL OFF "

Slade switches his attention to another target, possibly Eoin Doyle.

The chesterfield boy... In all honesty I don't think it's the strikers we have an issue with at moment. Whoever we put up there, will get no service. We can't score from open play... The problem lies in the midfield for me. We should Address that area as a key priority..

Cardiff City boss Russell Slade set to pull out of the race to sign Chelsea starlet Islam Feruz on loan

Teen sensation Islam Feruz was expected to head to Cardiff to discuss a loan move this week but now it appears manager Russell Slade has had a change of heart.

Cardiff City look set to ditch their plans to sign Chelsea youngster Islam Feruz on loan.

News broke last week that the highly rated youngster was on Russell Slade's radar but the Bluebirds boss appears to have pulled out of the race for his signature, which includes several of their Championship rivals.

The 19-year-old former Celtic forward, who is now with Chelsea, has just completed a loan spell with Greek League club OFI Crete.

It was understood Feruz, a Scottish under-21 international who was born in Somalia, was planning to travel to Cardiff tomorrow for talks, but now it appears Russell Slade has changed direction.

Bolton, Bournemouth and Brighton and Birmingham are other clubs keen on Feruz, while Slade still seems intent on pepping up the Bluebirds attack and has turned to a new target.

Slade is hoping to complete the £100,000 signing of left back Scott Malone from Millwall tomorrow and then will set his sights on a centre forward to bolster the Bluebirds' misfiring Championship attack.

Totally agree. If we continue to play 4 across midfield we will struggle. Slade out.

Seems like it was quite close and then suddenly it's off.

Planning to travel for talks and then Slade decides against it.

Does he have any idea what he's doing?

It's evident he doesn't know what he's doing.... All our strikers are capable of scoring and have proved that at this level..

He should be looking at addressing the formation and set up to a more modern approach on the game.. Getting personnel in to suit. We cannot continue with his aging tactics and 442.

Oh No not Eaaw Doyle.

He didn't play 4-4-2 for 70 mins v. Colchester and it worked. Midfield has been the problem because Gunnars hasn't played well for over a month and Whitts isn't comfortable playing so deep. We need a striker who is mobile and Eoin Doyle could well be the one. Also, it's preferable to a loan deal.

Brings up the question again. Why the f**k does Guerra not get at least a chance? A blind man would be more useful than macheda

Prefer a loan than slade getting a penny to spend.

Never been keen on loan signings, Zaha last and morrision this season, both were a waste of time and money

I agree. Getting a 19yr old kid with no experience wasn't the answer IMO.
Probably better for his career that he didn't come to be honest!!

Phoned Slade at 11pm last night to get a move here sorted, sounds like he's keen to join... Which is a great thing.

These same representatives were the reason why he prematurely left Celtic and joined Chelsea so goon on him.

Obviously wants to come and get some fist team football under his belt.

He has one thing our team is desperately missing, pace, but then again so did Zaha.

Tan was only going to pay slade for the first 20 miles travelling

It was NOT Slade that pulled out it was the players rep, so he sacked him and got a new rep and phoned Slade to say he wanted to come to City

Its all Slades fault.

He -like Ole will never be loved as a Tan man

In fact - a rumour is;

He got sacked by ISIS for chopping the body off the head
instead of the head off the body. :o

Slades lottery numbers

Even with the pitiful service, ALF in particular misses 99% of his chances. Useless.
