' Scott Young Says to Cardiff Fans '
Scott Young
Assistant manager Young admits: “We need to give our fans something to sing and shout about.
“We must start producing performances and results to give supporters reasons to sing about our team and walk out of stadium smiling.
“If we can do the business on the pitch the fans will focus on football and that’s what we want them to do.
“We have to lift the fans and give them a reason to lift the players when that’s needed.
“We need everybody to pull together. We need a big push going into the new year.”

More empty words.
Cardiff fans say to Scott Young "you're not good enough to coach this team".
Loved him as a player in an era I loved my football. I just hope what will prove to be a disasterous spell as coach doesn't turn fans against him.

Sorry Scott but it's going to take a lot more than that to get the fans singing and shouting again. What's happening on the pitch is just a small part of it. But I'm sure the players and coaching staff realise that, Ben Turner said as much just the other week. Many of the fans that still go just don't have their heart in it any more. Tan is slowly killing the club we all used to love.

We will start smiling and singing when Tan, Slade and Young leave the club.

Tan and Slade can f**k off as far as I'm concerned but Youngy has done a lot for the community side and the youth side of the club since his career was cut short through injury. He is not experienced enough to be the assistant of the first team but he certainly doesn't need to leave the club.
For me we need proper football men in charge with staff that they can trust and rely on behind. Whilst the bathroom sink is in charge those sort of decisions aren't going to be made.

Said the same thing before the Brentford game; find a new theme. This squad has twice as much talent and indeed attacking flair, than any under Malky or Jones. And yet this is the worst football I have seen in years.
The management team seem to be nice decent people but simply out of their depth. Sadly what I feared when Mr Slade was appointed.

When the only plan is 'must try harder' then its time to change.

Vincent tans Prozac army has a nice ring to it. Fans don't feel like singing anymore Scott, most don't even want to be there anymore they just go out of habit or to see friends.

Do us a favour and f**k off then not up to the job I am sure Porth AFC will have you back Rhondda league is about your standard
Sat Dec 27, 2014 9:00 am
still waiting Scott for a glowing review from a professional footballer on your credentials as a coach. Maybe a testimony from a youngster on how you nurtured them into the player they are today, or a current player saying you're alright would do. I hold my breath

It's cringeworthy seeing abuse like that towards youngy, he's done a lot of good work for cardiff city and wore his shirt with pride when playing, more than most of this lot. He was given the job, you cannot blame him for taking it am sure each and every one would do the same. He is without doubt totally out of his depth, I agree with every comment about his standard and also how players might perceive him. But abuse? Not for me, he is one of our own and will always respect that. Some people should have a little more respect.

Spot on this post. Some of our fans need a reality check. Young is cardiff through and through no need for the abuse it's not his fault he was offered the job. It's the manager who should take the brunt of any abuse for the current standard of football.

Couldn't agree more mate.
Yes, he doesn't appear good enough by far & should be replaced with someone much more experienced but I hate the actual abuse he's getting. No need.

Yet another "We need everybody to pull together" article..
Far too late for that, this ship (ie Cardiff City FC) is sinking.!
Even if VT miraculously decided to change us back to blue, that still wouldn't be good enough for me.
The bellend is a cancer to us and not fit to run/own a football club.
It's 'Tan Out' for me, and I'm sure that I'm not alone.

Its not so much about experience, its about vision and idea.
Cant think of our last really good manager, someone who sounded like they knew what they were doing.

To be fair there is only one post that's abused Youngy. I'm sure most of us respect him and remember what he did for us on the pitch and wish him well. He's just unfortunate that his employer is the most hated man in the history of the club.

He might have been a good player and served the club in the past but that's in the past. He is not good enough for our club as a coach. Passed record sacked as porth AFC,sacked as port talbot manager, what as he achieved as a coach
no room for sentiment at this level

i wont be walking in the stadium... never mind out
Sat Dec 27, 2014 5:07 pm
Go and Ask the chairmen for our blue kit back and our badge if you got the balls then you might get The fans back on board more so the ones who are staying away

Same old from Scott Young, in my eyes you're a playing Legend for the Bluebirds and always will be but please please please, stand down as you are well and truly out of your depth as is your manager and rest of the coaching staff. We will not be going anywhere but down unless the whole coaching/managing and ownership department is replaced asap
Sat Dec 27, 2014 7:48 pm
Really not up for tomorrow, it's almost like you can predict how the day is going to pan out..
Sat Dec 27, 2014 7:58 pm
I tend to agree with most on here Young is not the man to take us forward from a coaching perspective . Would have loved someone like dean sunders here as a coach at the time but noticed he has just been named crawley towns new manager .

Spot on. Young cant rely on his Leeds goal . He's not a first team coach at this level. He never really played at a decent level. Ideal with the academy and youngsters but that's the best he could achieve in my opinion.

Your all missing the point, have not seen one post where somebody thinks he is comfortable at this level. Point I made was why the abuse on other threads. In my opinion its out of order, he has simply been loyal and doñe what most would do in his position. Agree academy and youngsters is where he should be.
