' Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive '

Thu Dec 25, 2014 8:57 am

First of all a very Merry Christmas to you all.

Earlier on in the week I put up the exclusive that there is a consortium trying to be put together. I never put any Names out and I did say that I don't know the name but I actually do so sorry for that.

But I have learnt that there is in fact TWO different people that are trying to put consortiums together. They both know each other but these guys would never be able to unite to form one strong consortium. One of the them is pulling large financial players into place and the other who was very concerned that the motion was gathering pace, so is desperately trying to make his move as well. But there is one front runner followed by a concerned other party. I do know the names of both but will not put it out on here. I have my personal preference who I would like to succeed but that's my personal choice.

Secondly showing what a joke of a Club we have become Steve Borley has fallen out with many at the Club as his Wife was greatly offended by Ken Choo, so she hasn't been attending any games recently.
Let's all hope for a very Blue new year Chiefs :bluescarf: :santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

My Previous post :thumbright: :ayatollah:

' Consortium possibility to take over Cardiff City '

A businessman with connections is trying to get a consortium together to buy Vincent Tan out . Didn't call him tw*t )
I am told the first thing he would do is return us to Blue and reinstate our rightful badge with the Bluebird being the prominent image. There is an urgent need which has been identified and that is the atmosphere at the CCS and I am told the Grange end and Canton could be swapped around to help remedy this problem.
Right I do not know who it is and even if I did I am told it could put the whole thing in doubt so I wouldn't say even if I knew.
This is in the very early stages so may not even come off but it's good to hear that others could be interested.

merry Xmas...here's hoping we can get rid of Tan and his hangers on... asap and take slade with them..no offence to Slade...seems a nice guy...but we don't need a nice guy..we need a proven manager at this level

Re: Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive

Merry Christmas Steve.

I'm loving these exclusives. I really am taking most of this with a pinch off salt. That goes for anything on here be it from Carl, Annis or anyone. Any "exclusive" that comes out I always look for a sign and your exclusive here I believe I have heard one.

I believe I know one of these parties. Remember the last time we met, that's a clue. As you know I was there before you that night. This guy does not give much away and does not say a bad word about anyone. However he dropped his guard during our conversation which to a degree gives credit to your exclusive here.

These things don't happen overnight which is going to be fun watching some people get their knickers in a twist about this forum.

Re: Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive

My view is now we need to ramp up the protests. Let Tan know how we feel and make it personal. He would be more willing to sell then. Maybe even a reduced price just to get out. Hmmmm

Re: Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive

Thu Dec 25, 2014 9:36 am

Ian I do remember our chat. And I have heard some of what I put from more than one person now, so I do believe this is true. And two people have told me about Borley and Choo now.

Re: Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive

Thu Dec 25, 2014 9:44 am

Hopefully that will happen and gets well supported.

Personally I think we have done well to keep the stadium blue under very difficult circumstances. There are 3 proposals gong through of which one of them I'm 50/50 on. Renegading on the ST or boycotting next season just might have a negative reaction that Tan could use. If all the blues become absent then this could be the opportunity for Tan to attract his new customers. All he would have to do is drop the prices although saying that the way the football in going the admission would have to come down by a few pennies like. It is just a fear I have.

I'm pretty sure a consortium would invite a percentage of fan ownership.

Even if they hand over a small percentage, they can increase start up capital.

What is the point in posting this today when you havnt named names,it's already out there that a potential new owners could be on the way ? Or is it that these people just havnt got the money to do it ?

Re: ' Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive '

Its not just the buy out its the millions needed just to keep the club afloat and then investment in a team to compete.
Everyone wants blue including me but lets look at costs and future of the club too !

Excited by the prospect but these days we need a billionaire with money to burn , yes Tan but with football knowledge and then put a manager like Pullis who has seen it and done it .

Re: ' Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive '

Thu Dec 25, 2014 1:56 pm

Without City being in the prem, I cannot see anyone with any sense putting together the £100m deal that would tempt Tan.
Just one other thought, Tan may have alienated fans over the rebrand, but I would prefer him to many others we have had and the likelihood is that anyone looking to buy into the club will be far far worse.

Re: ' Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive '

Thu Dec 25, 2014 2:31 pm

How can you possible say anyone else would be worse you don't know that and other than for financial clout Tan has brought nothing but turmoil to the club.
Your statement is at best miss guided and at worse stupid.

Venkeys and a few others have been even worse than Tan IMO.....

Of course we could do better, but it seems unlikely that we can run at a profit for a decade or so, if ever and financial fair play means it will be hard for someone to just come in and throw money at it in the future.....

Re: ' Christmas Day Consortium Exclusive '

Thu Dec 25, 2014 6:43 pm

The statement made by Tan an hour ago was done for a purpose.

What he is saying is:

You can wave your blue scarfs, you can march and you can write letters.
What else are you going to do?

We all know that none of the above will have any affect whatsoever on any descision Tan will make.

At the moment the talk of consortiums are pipedreams, something to hang on to.

The reality of the situation is that sometimes in life you have to bite the bullet to get what you ultimately want.

Dont rely on other people to take action, when you yourself are not prepared to take action.
thiThe bottom line is a return to Blue

To do this it will take at least 10,000 season ticket holders to not renew. Anything less and Tan wont give a monkeys.
All the so called Fan Leaders, Supporters Group Leaders, Trust Leaders and Message Board Owners and Moderators need to state publicly that they are not going to renew.

Anything less than this and you may aswell piss in the wind.

The time for words and arguments is over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

United you will get the Blue back anything less ??????????????

I was going to write a lot more but this is the gist of it.

With the right marketing it is achievable. At the end of the day it will be up to the season ticket holders.

Something like this needs momentum, so what better time in the last 2 years than now?

The people stated above are the ones to get it started because people are waiting for leadership.

Read both posts, put 2and 2 together and you'll see you did.
Also, reducing ticket prices is not going to entice already disenchanted fans back in.
Or create new ones.
