Are Cardiff City that Desperate for Support Nowadays?

This week thousands of ex Cardiff City Fans/ex Season Tickets holders received emails.

CCFC are emailing ex season tickets holders with a £10 ticket offer.

Watch Cardiff City v Brentford Saturday 20th December 3pm

Adults £10 and Kids £5

It will be very interesting to see how many buy them?

This Shows for me that they know their Support is vanishing fast.

If the Support was there, they would not need to contact ex City Fans.

The Only way now is, Vincent Tan gone/Return to Blue/Canton Stand by Away Fans :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf: :bluescarf:

Hopefully everyone who had an email will reply explaining why they have stayed away and won't be taking them up on the offer.

On the positive side you could say that the club are being extremely generous to supporters in a costly time of the year. However it points out to me the clubs commercial department have not got a clue :laughing6: Why do they have to sell cheap tickets now, when a blind man could see this coming :laughing6: For a start, why didn't they price freeze all season tickets from last year as we got relegated in stead of actually significantly increasing them?? They haven't got a clue and are completely incompetent.
This is from the club website
"FORMER SEASON TICKET HOLDERS: In keeping with the theme of the promotion, we are also reaching out to former Season Ticket Holders, providing the following offer to those who have held a Season Ticket for any season since 2010/11.
Former Season Ticket holders can attend the fixture, regardless of age for only £10 per ticket. Former Season Ticket Holders can also bring one guest, again regardless of age for only £10 each in general admission areas"

Besides my family city are my life always have been over three decades have met and have now and always the best friends - however the last few seasons even with the success have been the worse as a fan yes the same old story re- brand but the way fans have been treated - loyal fans will always be there like myself but I have to force myself to go nowadays fed up of all the arguments lack of commitment from players - the circus in and out of the media from week to week - we all have our own opinions and rightly so are entitled too but the club over all as gone down hill instead of forward - millions and millions of pounds have been squandered from the top - no need to blame past managers the top sign the cheques and massive financial mistakes been made dropping from the premiership I would say at least 45% did not enjoy our short spell there either which should as we all agree been the best days ever after so many agony years - football changes at the top and to compete the new fan is required with big spending but to rebrand in the fashion done was a mistake only one person can honestly take the blame for - could of still been successful with traditional colours and badges - and still attracted the high end of supporter for the business side of business matters - the loyal fans should of been allowed to create atmosphere to the extent that was always a fortress without causing distress to fellow fans home or away - even if things changed today it will take years to re-build trust with loyal fans and atmosphere at ground after so many people been bullied with bans for the old fashion day out pie pint and sing song supporting the club you cherish - let's hope I,m wrong we,ll always be blue - :bluescarf:

Canton Stand by away fans? So kick a load of Cardiff fans out of one corner? How about the people in the Canton Stand just move to the family/Ninian stand instead?

I know that you do as well Annis, but past reputation makes it impossible to have it back also from cost point view! As most if not all city home games are police free! That would change immediately. :o

They did the same promotion last month and the club are also advertising cheap tickets via Amazon. The problem is as stated, they are not rewarding the faithful who buy season tickets every year.

It looks as if the club are desperate to get fans through the gate. It's not working though because although we have 18K season ticket holders the crowds for the last couple of games have been approx 15K.

Did say know things have changed, seen that in the occasions I have travelled away, but that wasn't taken into account when stadium was built obviously! But still think it is the reason won't happen now! eg Leeds Swansea if they come here sitting next to city fans asking for trouble surely?
We still get treated like paryas by some forces met/York's do it? Anyway good chance I will return after Xmas and next season.

Personally I feel the club don't want them.

When the likes of Wayne Nash knocks the old Grandstand A guys then that tells a story.

If he doesn't reduce prices then it tells you how illogical he is.

So stubborn.

Nothing is gained from such high prices. He would make more with a reduction.
