He was a painter at the club or some random job (or something on work experience?) wasn't he before getting that promotion
Seems odd, you'd figure, as a friend of Tan, it'd all be in the initial report.

Malky Mackay and Iain Moody hit by new race claims after former Cardiff employee Alisher Apsalyamov submits complaint to FA over alleged 'Chemical Ali' nickname
Alisher Apsalyamov worked briefly as Cardiff's head of recruitment
He claims Malky Macky and Iain Moody referred to him as 'Chemical Ali'
The same nickname was given to Saddam Hussein's cousin
Apsalyamov left his role at the Welsh club because of visa issues
Macky and Moody are still under investigation by the FA for sending racist, sexist and homophobic messages.
The FA's racism investigation into Malky Mackay and Iain Moody has escalated after it emerged a former Cardiff City official submitted a written complaint to the governing body claiming he was a victim of discrimination.
Alisher Apsalyamov is from Kazakhstan and was horrified to discover he allegedly became known to Mackay and Moody as 'Chemical Ali' during his time at the club.
Mackay, now in charge of Wigan Athletic after his controversial appointment last month, and former Cardiff head of recruitment Moody are still awaiting the outcome of the FA inquiry into an exchange of racist, homophobic and sexist messages.

I don't know the source of this news, but if true it would indeed put the club under another black cloud

wrong headlines, this is old news....any documentation of the multi-million pound investigation should of been handed in to the authorities along time ago. Cardiff are on a good run - this is a distraction from the team and the progress made by Slade.
The club officials preoccupied by former employees and not submitting everything they had on them, creating a black cloud

Tan talks about corruption and racism but then does the same himself. Although he does not say things in a private conversation (allegedly) but physically does the illegal and discrimination stuff - employs illegal immigrants without work permits and people with no expirience of the jobs or the skills required, but employed on their ethnicity.
