who is going to renew ST

Sat Nov 22, 2014 9:44 am

Based on the entertaiment factor at the CCS.

Performance on the pitch
Steward muscle
Red shirt nonsence
Price
Atmosphere
Cost of grub etc

???????

Surely they will reduce price?

3 of us sat together and 2 and not renewing and I doubt the other woman go on his own.

Not down to entertainment value for me but it's a mixture of things.

Looking at the crow last night. I think that there must have only been 14-15,000 there last night. Its going to get a lot worse next season I think, particularly if ST prices are not frozen again or some even reduced.

I will be off my ban and getting a season ticket just like countless years before my ban as Cardiff is my club and I will support them through the good times and the bad times

Me too.

Putting up with the bad days makes the good ones even better.

Not that these really are BAD days compared to the 90's.

15 years of relative success seems to have made a section of our fans very difficult to please.

If we can get 6 points form our next 3 games then we will really be in with a shout. The team still look like a 'work in progress', but this league really is there for the taking if we can get it together and I DO feel that Slade is making progress, however slowly.

The club really NEED to do this.

Putting prices up this season was a ridiculous and arrogant move and must be reversed if we aren't to lose another big chunk of fans.

Should drop them to £300 for adults and £100 for kids for the main stands - cheaper for the family section. Make matchday prices £20 adults and £6 for kids.

Might cost the club maybe £1m (at most) but if it means fuller grounds then it could actually lead to an extra few points which would make the difference between promotion and relegation.

Could easily make that £1m back (and more) if we changed back to blue.. if only the stupid owner would open his eyes.

What they did to the corporate sections was also unbelievably stupid.

I am as others have said its likra drug i have the shakes in the summer when no footy but aftrr 45yrs its hard to give up and city should reduce cost or at least freeze price

No chance - fed up of it all and won't go for the first time since 1970. No entertainment, overpaid prima donnas, rubbish atmosphere, red shirts, Tan, Slade & Young, end of price freeze all mean its not for me anymore - already spent the money on a week in Croatia instead and will also go to another game in Europe somewhere. Went to San Siro for AC Milan V Juventus in March and what a night - tickets 15 Euros too.

Agree 100% with that

The worst thing will be if we look like we've got a chance of going up and they send the renewals out. Probably freezing the prices or reducing by 2 quid. Which they will do once again instead of treating us fairly and waiting to see the outcome.

In no other part of life would you pay for something you don't even know the value of.

I expect the worst from our club under tan and that is exactly what we'll get.

But ye ill probably renew because without it I'd be in my house twiddling my thumbs every weekend.

ha ha ha - no way - the clue is in the Bluebird. Tried hard to accept the new era, but the passion just isn't there anymore for me and would rather do something else - watching that drivel last night just made me angry. If I wanted to watch my team pass the ball along the 18 yard line, I would have gone to watch the jacks a few seasons ago. Apart form the odd game, the last time I really enjoyed watching us was under DJ - at least we had a go at teams then.

in the event we get promoted (unlikely, in any case), they won't really be able to raise prices further still as they're high as it is.

with 33,000 seats, there will be plenty to go around so just wait until the end of the season if you are only willing to stick around for premier league football.

It's a pretty weak excuse to use the poor atmosphere as a reason not to go. It's fans that create the atmosphere, so rather than give up on the team isn't it better to make some noise? Or is the atmosphere down to everyone else with no personal accountability?

Re: who is going to renew ST

I'll renew mine, despite personal issues affecting my current attendance :bluescarf:

However, I would be very disappointed if the price should stay as it is for this season (for those NOT on the Ambassador Deal) and we fail to be promoted! ;)

Just about acceptable for the Premier League, but not the Championship IMHO and our owner needs to consider that before setting prices in January when we have no idea where we will be, as it my personal belief that a lot more than he (Tan) might anticipate will play a 'wait and see' game! :(

Re: who is going to renew ST

I've noticed SOME fans saying that they will renew under any circumstances, almost suggesting their loyalty is superior to others who are waivering. To me loyalty works both ways and the fact that tan has not reversed the discredited rebrand whilst increasing ticket prices is the ultimate act of contempt.

I won't renew next season irregardless of where we finish (inc promotion). He is losing so called diehard fans, and whilst he presides over a such a badly run club, he won't be attracting plastics. He's taking us for mugs. :bluescarf:

Derby actually promised any fans who bought season tickets in Feb for this season half their money up if they got promoted.

Given the huge amount of money promotion brings to a club then that seems a brilliant idea.

And look at their gates and atmosphere this year.

No it bloody well doesn't and you are wrong to suggest that 'renewing' supporters are anything but loyal to CARDIFF CITY FOOTBALL CLUB itself rather than some temporary owner!

As for "taking us for mugs"? Well, I guess that depends on any individual's perspective. Those who truly believe they were being "taken for mugs" actioned their right to 'walk away' some time ago. Don't necessarily agree with that, but I certainly respect it more than those that stayed and still 'claim' not to support what is going on! ;)

I support the club and not some temporary owner, who will do what he wants no more or no less than any other owner in recent history (albeit one change so much more unpalatable than any we had seen before :( ) and for that reason I will renew my season ticket without regard for the agenda-filled people who forgot so easily where we nearly were!

Temporary Tan or no club to support??

Hmmm, let me think about that one for a minute!

You've completely misunderstood my point. I have never questioned the loyalty of renewing supporters, OR the ones who walked when the red was imposed. However, I understand that everyone has their tolerance limits.

I was one of the people who chose to campaign against the rebrand from within, because in the premiership, I would have been replaced by someone who was just grateful to be watching us play Man U et al, not the type to yearn for a past they were not involved with. I thought tan was capable of getting the message, but his stubbornness knows no limits. And I just don't enjoy it anymore.

You did make me laugh when you said that tan has done what he wants as much as previous owners. :bluescarf:
