Needs to add an end product to his silky skills.

The point is at cardiff he is not even on the bench, but at norway he is playing every game, man of the match so he can't be injured or not on song.
I don't know why you are so hell bent on believing Slade when there is actual video evidence that the kids not badly injured. This whole story is bizarre

Same thing that usually happens at Cardiff. Have to make a desition to take on another 4 players or wait for his team mates to catch up. He waited and made a fine pass

The norwegian national coach just admitted he was neither injured or tired. He just wanted a more defensive solid player on. Voted man of the match twice in 6 days.

Could be a great Super Sub, like Solskjaer or David Fairclough :thumbright: :thumbright:
There is no doubting Mat Daehli is quality and fit and something is wrong at City Manager/Owner ? Hmmmmm

Mom but taken off after 57 mins why? Surely you keep best player on pitch unless not fit to play 90mins!! As Doesn't seem to manage 90 mins at moment!!!! :o

He got hold of the ball, turned, and passed it successfull to a team mate...

He doesn't need an end product. He needs better team mates.

Annis probably answered why Slade doesn't pick him? Defensively not good enough and with whitts in our side 2 non defensive mid fielders in team just won't work!

Made sense until those 3 centerbacks on the bench popped up in my head. Then it all went to pieces again.. :laughing6:

I will be happy with at least a draw at Watford Allan as long as we have beaten Reading :thumbright:

Its obvious the kid would rather play for Norway than Cardiff. Rather refreshing and unusual in this day and age, but he needs to remember who is paying his wages.

I was playing Devils Advocate a bit there. I'd like Daehli and Ravel to stay, but I haven't seen enough of Guerra to pass judgement ( I'll forgive how awful he was against Bournemouth). Some people ask about Harris, but 3 managers in a row have passed on him for first team football. Are they all wrong?

What we really need is a midfield enforcer in the mould of a Joey Barton or Cattermole from Sunderland, and none of the above fit into that category, in my opinion.

What's ironic is that Norway lost all possession and were pushed back on the field when Daehli came off. The game changed drastically for the worse the moment he went off.

How can he be match fit when he doesnt get games at City? He's been benched for over a month so obviously he isn't gonna be 100% match fit. Point is he is not injured.

may have point but you have obviously missed another fact that was mentioned by norway coach? daehli was taken off because wanted to stiffen defence! and as i stated earlier city cannot play whitts and daehli in same team as neither are defensively strong! so maybe slade as made decision based on that fact? :o and as we know slade wants work horse type players!! whitts and daehli are not that type!!

I get that but they also said it was a bad substitution, coz norway lost control of the game and possession when he went off.
Different ways of looking at how to defend. You can also defend by playing players that have superior ability on the ball such as Ravel and Matts. And we could defo use players like that considering we have some of the worst possession stats in the league. Considering we never manage to dominate central midfield anyway perhaps its time for a different approach. But that would mean stepping away from Slades beloved flat 4-4-2 so….

Anyway I am sure you understand that the point isn't that he should play every game but that he is not even on the bench and the manager claims he is injured.

He had a very good game today, actually the best I´ve seen for a while, and the best so far this season for Norway, IMO. Everyone was surprised he was taken off, the commentators included. Anyway, we won today and have got 9 points after 4 matches. EC here we come :)

And congrats to Wales, as well. A strong point tonight!

He probably wouldn't be in my 11 but for him to not make the bench in more than strange, especially when you consider some of the benches he has put out.

Allen, We play with Whitts, Noone, Pilkington, Macheda,ALF and two ridiculously attacking full backs......Away, this is why we get over run. Out of the five midfield and forwards, Whitts is the most defensive !!!!!!!

Conway is the type of player I think Slade will go for in a 442, hard working if not spectacular. Remember Cowie was on the other side for Malky. 442 is fine but I don't think we have a 442 squad.....

If he had a consistent end product, he'd be playing for Chelsea, not Cardiff. The boy has bags of potential and it's a shame he's basically being forced out.

Wont be popular with any Norwegian fans still with us since Ole's gone, - but perhaps being MOM for Norway isn't too much to brag about ( ie the rest of them may be shite! ). ;)
