Will be interesting to see what happens?
Personally I feel Malky should be allowed back in to management and given a second chance, he has been punished with all the publicity he has had and loss of work now for 11 months.
Be good to see how he does in this league![]()

Personally, I still feel very let down by Malky - as such, I don't care what he does. I invested complete trust in him, he has let that trust go. I know now I was a mug for doing it, but I was at Anfield last season singing his name, urging him to stay.

Well we know that Whelan is a football man through and through, so may gloss over what Malky has done and said, as to these guys football and winning is everything, morals come a second best. I have no issue with Malky coming back as a manager, but if it was me as an owner or chairman, I would look elsewhere. Too much baggage that could just disrupt my club.

Why do you feel let down? He was appointed to manage the club, which he did very successfully.
You invested complete trust in Malky? Are you the owner? My only trust in him was to pick the best team he could to win games for Cardiff City - the team we all support.
There will be a lot of baggage as you say because certain people will not let it go. But I think they must have nothing in their lives of importance, if this is something they will keep stressing over.
You are not a mug for supporting him at Liverpool (I did, as well as several 1000 others). Malky did the job he was paid to do (and very will imo), so we were right to support him. All this "evidence" that has cost £750,000??? to gather, has still not produced anything to say Malky was not good at his job, or any less trustworthy than anyone else in football.

I never enjoyed watching a Malky team. We had to endure a lot to get to the promised land, the rebrand and functional football. When we got there I don't think many enjoyed it and made us question a lot about our club.
Don't give a toss about the texts, doing it on company phones was daft though.....
I am more pissed of with the agents fees and the transfer saga's Etien V,brayford and Cornelius although when we look at players, agents and not playing ole is equally as poor.
We were found out and that style of play won't allow you to stay in the league, that is why I am worried with Slades direction...

Agree totally, the man deserves a second chance. I was glad he left us when we were in the Premier for purely football reasons. I dont think hes a Premiership manager but hes obviously got form in the Championship. I cant condone some of his texts but I think he should be allowed to continue his trade.

Great post mate. Too many drama queens on here that have never done anything wrong in their lives.
I wish him well in his next job wherever that may be.

However, I do feel that he let both club (owner, players, coaching staffs) and fans down with his actions
Not so much the texts themselves. I still feel Moody to be the more culpable on that issue, although even the small number Malky responded to were certainly bang out of order for someone in his position
Where I feel he let us down most was by 'playing' us fans with some very cleverly chosen words (usually through third party leaks) and via an oft gullible media intent on soaking up anything that could be viewed as anti-Tan
Gary Lineker and MoTD were loving the whole situation. Whilst Malky was sat smugly on their couch and Tan was referred to in such derogatory terms, it turned out that all the time he (Tan) had a point, even though he could have handled the situation better by 'sacking' Malky earlier and coming clean with the reasons!
I may or may not (undecided) give Malky a polite round of applause when/if he ever return to cardiff City FC, but I certainly won't be rolling out a Red Carpet, I certainly won't be singing his name, and I sincerely hope he doesn't get the 'Hero Worship' treatment that others (Ramsey the last) have had in the past
Tend to agree with Forever Blue that Malky has been punished enough for the relatively part he played in 'Textgate' and should be allowed to move on with his life and career, but he has a pretty big bridge-building exercise ahead and he'll need a certain type of owner that will take him on
Honest Dave Whelan might be just that person!

Plenty of bigger & better managers than Malky have bought the likes of Velikonja, Cornelius etc.
Mon Nov 10, 2014 1:51 pm
Cornelius is Malkys.
Velikonja is Tans.

You may be right Annis but that just makes Malky look more of an idiot the way he spoke about signing him and scouting him for so long. MM was happy to take all the praise at the time.
