I spoke to some Spanish close friends of Javi Guerra today and they were telling me what a nice person he was and could not believe the Rumours about Guerra supposedly upsetting the dressing room.
In the past he has never been known for this and it's not his character.
He has personally gone to Slade and pleaded with him for a chance to show his worth

So come on Russell Slade, give a proven goal scorer a chance

Correct Guerra needs a run of games, not an odd game

He's just not good enough, nearly every team we've coem up against they've had better central midfielders than Gunnarsson, even the temas we've beaten.

I've not changed my mind in 3 years, past his sell by date, time to move upwards and stop this sentimental crap of loyalty!

He'll find another club easily and no disrespect to him but we need better in his position!

Came to something with Jones back in Trinidad that Guerra wasn't even on the bench last night.

If Macheda had got injured we would have had 2 midgets up front. Guerra has shown he can be physical as well as a very good technical footballer.

Makes no sense to me. OK he was awful against Bournemouth, but so were 6-7 others and he'd been out for weeks and the service/support for him was poor.

SURELY deserves another chance.

Having Guerra not picked is a massive waste of money and talent. He hasn't had a fair crack of the whip. Is Tan picking the team as he hinted at?? Or rather, is he picking who doesn't play??

Why would Tan want to prevent Guerra being selected?

In a different thread it has been suggested that Tan insisted that Guerra played in the Bournemouth game!

If it were my money paying Guerra's sizeable wages I'd be asking my manager for a reason why he seems to be suggesting that he'd rather play a centre half who's been out injured for months as a striker ahead of a guy who has scored goals in one of Europe's top leagues.

Great player on ability alone he starts......

Hhmmmm I wonder why he isn't selected by three different Managers ???

If I was a betting man, I would bet on him not playing and him leaving in the next window, but I hope i'm wrong and Slade gives him a go, as he is the best Striker we have IMO.

I agree, we need midfielders who can run past players and score goals like that boy Mowatt for Leeds who scored against us and another two against Charlton on Tuesday. Emyr Huws the lad at Wigan too, another good central midfielder. Our midfield is very poor, both centrally and out wide. For all the money we've spent on transfer fees and high wages we've got very little to show for it. I also think we should give Guerra a chance. I think he would be excellent alongside Macheda or Kenwyne especially with Ravel weaving some magic and playing him in. The lad has football brains and will take up some very good scoring positions.
