A forum for all things Cardiff City

I think that the club realise that they overpriced season tickets for this season and taking into account the end of the price freeze I would not be surprised if the prices were reduced or worse case scenario kept the same. Some areas are well overpriced for the Championship (£689).
Saying that, on current form we are likely to finish mid table and in view of that I cannot see how the club can keep all the 'star' players & their wages. Crowds are likely to go down as the realisation of another season in the Championship will affect some fans. There are 18K ST holders this season so I think we should still get 15/16K next season.

All time low for the new stadium imo.

If my season ticket is not the same price as this season (I had the price freeze) then I will not be renewing. I can see the club taking a massive hit in attendences next season.
Wed Nov 05, 2014 10:21 am
it's going to take an enormous hit thats for sure, how much exactly is a bit of a mystery
Wed Nov 05, 2014 11:19 am
Less than 12000 in League 1
Wed Nov 05, 2014 11:25 am
You will be surprised how many will renew if we acted like a normal club. However we are not normal so its impossible to tell.

Same here - if mine (2) go up at all, I'll not be renewing, that's for sure.

I've had a season tkt for yrs going back to ninian park a block in the grand stand.. If the price increases next season, I won't be renewing. They need the fans and have to come up with some deal to get them in the seats.

I won't be. 520 for 2 of us in championship to high. I'd pay 300!!

520 for two ?? thats pretty good to be fair

I didn't renew mine this season as it was increased by £140 or so.
If we finish mid table I think a few thousand will not renew & the consequences will be huge.
I don't believe the club could be stupid enough to increase again though.
Wed Nov 05, 2014 1:18 pm
If we don't get promoted and with the current prices I can see us getting a 17-19,000 average attendance next season.
I'll still be here though.

Should never pay Premier prices for Championship football and they should never demand we renew in February either ..... years ago renewals used to be May / June for Early Bird .Cant ever remember paying more after a relegation season either which in effect this season was all things considered !!!!!

Me too,I'm paying £399 in the ninian at the moment, that's supposedly going up to £529 and I also pay for my son and 2 grandsons in the family stand, that's about a grand in all,so there's no way I can afford that,so unless there's another freeze there's gonna be 4 less fans next season and I think there'll be a lot more supporters doing likewise

City should take a serious look at the German league set up,,,price,,,product,,,& service. That's the only way forward.
Continue with our current set up, I think we will be lucky to attract 15.000 next season!
Wed Nov 05, 2014 7:38 pm
I won't be renewing. Not sure on the other two I go with.
Wed Nov 05, 2014 7:58 pm
I pay £529 in the Ninian, I don't think the club should be charging more than £399 for that same ST in the Championship. I hope they see sense and charge those prices next season, if they do I reckon most will renew. For the likes of me, who is not on the price freeze, it's taking the piss
Wed Nov 05, 2014 8:13 pm
Any you boys not renewing got good end of row seats in the ninian stand
Thu Nov 06, 2014 5:12 pm
I will probably give it another season regardless of the price as I enjoy my pre match drink in canton every home game.
But numbers will drop and the club has overpriced season tickets.
Football these days ate too expensive with the clubs taking in millions from tv and the sky high wages.
Clubs could afford easy to charge £15 a ticket the fsf should be campaigning more on our behalf.

I'm on the price freeze paying around £320 I think. If it goes over £400 they can f**k off I'd rather save my money and just do aways much better crack.
I think there be thousands who won't renew

For me I may be struggling next year due to possibly a loss of work. I may not commit to a new season if my Ninian seat increases after the freeze.

That's the spirit. Few part-timers on here.

We had 4 last season and for many years before that. Two however decided this season not to re new after all the off field events.
We won't be renewing next season, will be a sad miss but we have lost the appeal and it's turned out to be drudge going down there.
We will find new things to do but has been a great 25 yrs of ups and downs

I'd be here even if we were in the conference.

You may well be, but history dictates that over 20.000 people will not.
Apathy will slowly take its toll on attendances, & even the most die hard & loyal fans will simply say "enough is enough"!

The pricing is victimising the faithful fans. If they want the stadium rocking, it's a strange way of trying to fill the expanded stadium. There should be big savings for ST holders and "bring a mate" fixtures, etc to make sure that the big games have a cauldron atmosphere.
I can't believe there is talk of increasing the already excessive tariffs!
If they want to save money, start by pruning the squad and paying realistic wages as soon as possible. Don't disadvantage the customers who watch them play, good, bad or indifferent.

Don't worry, Now that Vincent Tan is a football expert, we will have 30k sell outs next season.
