Bluebirds Unite Sian Branson

12/10/14

Good morning fellow Bluebirds.
Just a quick update to say we haven't gone away and held a productive committee meeting on Friday evening.
A few new faces helping out on the committee and the end result seemed positive.
We had looked at marching as a form of protest & whilst this has not been ruled out all together for the rest of the season, there are more favourable alternatives available to us. In my mind I'd like our next march to be when we are celebrating a return to blue and the recognition of our true Identity. ( A march that could be held with pride every year after to commemorate and celebrate a return to Blue with a Bluebird predominant on our chest. Although it sometimes seems impossible- this is something that will inevitably happen, in my opinion we edge ever closer as each month rolls by- the hardest part ,as it's always been is to keep up momentum, in the words of Winston Churchill - 'Never -Never -Never - Give Up!')
Any march would have to beat the last attempt that resulted in an overwhelming number of supporters marching together in their thousands.
So we have looked at other alternative forms of protest that can take place both inside and outside of the ground and we will be ironing out details in the coming weeks before asking for your help to make it happen.
We will of course keep you posted and hopefully it will be protests that ALL Cardiff City Fans can be part of wether we are attending the games or boycotting.
One day soon our club will need us to help rebuild it and restore pride.
Let's be ready .............

You hit the nail on the proverbial head with your comment "He cannot win in the long run" as he will eventually up sticks and leave like all those before him!

This is no offence to Sian, as I think the original idea was sound until it was infiltrated by those that forced "additional" agendas to the fore! :(

Had they stuck to the simple aim of "a return to blue" then they might have gained a lot more support at the time, but sadly (IMHO) the time for such actions is well past and it appears that many other supporters feel the same way when they dropped out last time around :(

What has me being a "Mod' got to do with any of this, Blazing?? :?

Or do you think I have to toe a certain 'party line' even when I believe something to be fundamentally wrong or pointless?? :?

I can think for myself, fella, and I can make my own mind up on a variety of topics (including this specific one) ;)

I am NOT anti-Sian (her original idea was sound until others stole the agenda) and I am certainly NOT against the return to blue. If you ever read my posts properly you would know that, but I am very much anti-protest march for reasons way beyond Cardiff City Football Club!

You obviously have a different opinion (quote: "I am 100% behind this") and that is good for you, but whilst not agreeing with you, I don't ridicule you holding those views either! ;)

Personally, I think Bluebirds United has had its day in the sun and I expressed that belief. But hey, each to their own, fella. Each to their own! ;)
