Both seem to play a similar type of game, but who would you say is more effective? Who would you rather in the City line up?

Daehli all day long.
Fri Oct 10, 2014 8:11 pm
Daehli is very lightweight though. His skill is unquestionable, but could Williams be more effective?

Jonny for me. Dhaeli like a sack of shit at moment won't take nobody on

Starting to agree with this. Plus, Williams has some good experience at our level

Daehli by a landslide.

IMO daehli will go further
Williams is 2 years older and should be further ahead.
I am hearing daehli scored 1 and assisted 1 for his country tonight.

Exactly. Williams all day long. Daehli just too much of a lightweight. Hasn't really set things alight

Neither , both buzz around showing plenty of skill but simply no end product from either player !

You mean no end-product like the fact that he has got most assists at Cardiff City so far this season?
Hopefully he will leave your Mickey Mouse-club i January. You dont appreciate him (he is 19 ffs), and he certainly is no Championship-player.

Going on last season I'd say Daehli. But this year he's been average and Williams is having a good season for Ipswich. Put in a great performance last night and he's Welsh

There where heavy clubs scouting yesterday, so people might get their wish. I know he was not happy being left out by young, but said he will give his best to impress Slade. But he is wanted elsewhere if not here.

Could it be Jonny is trusted to play in his best position central to wide, where as Matts has been overly protected on the flanks. When he comes insides there is that X factor with matts.

Daehli all day long.
Williams is a neat little player who's currently at Ipswich on loan. I think he will reach a higher level than that given time but Daehli at 2 years younger is a much bigger prospect.
At the moment he's a little light weight & has a lot to learn as is normal but I believe people down here expect too much from him at such a young age. He will go on to piss all over Williams in time to come IMO.
When your 19, two years in football is quite a lot.

Dæhli without a shadow of a doubt, Williams can't even get into Palace's team, while Dæhli's been linked with top clubs in Europe.

Daehli not a patch on joniesta.

Not his fault, it's just that neither Pulis nor Warnock plays a style of football that suits his game.

Jonny Williams oozes class! Both very talented players mind!

Dæhli had a great match yet again against Bulgaria.. He worked his ass off, and played some great football. Becoming a better footballer each time I see him.

Both too lightweight at the moment. I think right now I'd rather Williams but provided he plays in the middle alongside a hard hitting defensive midfield partner. If you're talking potential though, I'd say Daehli pips it. Needs to start showing his stuff though.

Well the same is true for Daehli, we been playing hoof ball this season its not exactly a game that suits Daehli. Williams also gets to play in his best position at Ipswich, Daehli has to see lesser players like Gunnarson play in the hole.
Warnock rates williams he just doesnt think he is ready for first team football hence its better to send him somewhere he can get games and consistency.
He specifically wanted Williams at Ipswich because thats the club that was willing to play him in his best position. Warnock actually has his best interest in mind. Daehli has been short changed a bit like a few of our players he's been moved around in different positions and had little consistency.

Daelhi still does a job at an okay standard being played out of position, he is what Ozil is to Arsenal ATM. A player behind the striker who is getting played out on the flank.

Daehli.

One key difference is that in the national team the play usually goes through Daehli, and the strikers and midfield actually moves with pace, giving him options...

Spot on! I have seen a few videos of him playing for Norway and he always looks very sharp for them.
It looks as if he is the main playmaker in that team and they deliberately get him on the ball.
At city he's never had that role. At times this season he's been totally isolated out on the wing and because he is not big or strong enough to impose himself the game will pass him by.
As much as OGS was Daehlis mentor i don't think he knew how to really utilise his gifts.
