Cheers :D

I think you will put the final nail in Ole's coffin so i think you will win 3-1.

Re: Boro game

Sun Sep 14, 2014 5:13 pm

Ole is under massive pressure on this game, he has to win it.

I believe we can win it, if Ole does a proper game plan, no more tinkering, start with the team that started V Norwich and not tinker with it.

No injuries for us, other than Fabio doubtful, but not serious :thumbright: :thumbright:

Oles tinkering no body knows team, so cant really say about dangermen as squad is so big. I think a lot of us are preying Noone is back. Expecting probably 6-7 changes from Saturdays team.
Prediction Cardiff 2-0. Think we will be to strong for Boro.
Injuries i think Fabio is our only concern. Him being a big miss for us as hes been our most consistent player this year

Most people I know are already discussing who Ole's successor will be. It's not if, but when he gets sacked. It's going to be a long night! Boro are always difficult opponents. Pity that such a long trip for you falls on a Tuesday night. At least the weather is still good. Just shows how the fans are the last people that the Football League think about.

Our danger man is the manager....... Probably play Marshall on the left of the diamond and Gunnerson in goals.

1-3 Boro :bluescarf:

It's impossible to predict anything with the way our manager rotates, but our danger man will be Kenwyne Jones (unless Ole rests him!)

I also want to add that I think it's an absolute disgrace you're being made to travel down to us on a Tuesday. Boro's fans have been well and truly shit on! We have to travel all the way to Ipswich on a Tuesday later this season, you would think they would consider the fans when arranging the fixtures. To all those who say the fixtures are randomly generated by a computer, the boxing day fixtures always give us one of the shorter trips and why is it we have been given Brighton away on a Tuesday EVERY season since they joined us in the Championship?

Anyway, whatever the result, all the best this season. I've always had a great time in Middlesbrough, I became friendly with one of the barmaids in Dr Brown's and still keep in contact with her now.

No Ned, Tan has invested to much in Ole just to do a quick sacking.

I meant under pressure from our fans, but Tan will soon let him know he is not happy if it continues.

I agree with that Annis.

If we're outside the top six at Christmas then I think he'll be gone.

Sad really, I like Ole as a person - one of the nicest people I've met, real top bloke - and I really want him to do well.

Why would he keep that team? Bar 20 min it was woeful. The second half was the worst i have seen this season. Ralls was out of his depth, Gunnar should never play no 10, he is too slow and looks like he is scared of the ball. Whitts is not a DM. Pilkington wonders in and out of the game. Morrison was terrible, slow and out of position. Macheda was exhausted by the end of the first half. We lost the ball over and over in midfield. If he doesnt bring in players with better ability on the ball like, Noone, Daehli, Guerra and Manga i will loose even more faith in him

The four you've highlighted could make a huge difference IF played together. I find it incredibily frustrating that Guerra doesn't get much game time ... indeed, he didn't even make the bench last Saturday, while the shot Maynard did.

I'm scratching my head wondering why so many want the same lineup out there for the game Tuesday night when no one liked it in the first place. I get that the tinkering irks the shit out of most fans, but we need this win and that lineup Saturday was the weirdest I have seen from Ole since we dropped back down.

If Noone, Daehli, and Manga are fit to go, would you not want Ole to switch the lineup and get our most talented players on the pitch?

I predict we will come out all guns firing g0 2-0 up within 30 minutes then sit back and defend, roll over under pressure from Boro and end up drawing 2-2. Enjoy the trip and your time at the CCS but hopefully not the result absolute disgrace that you have this fixture and the distance involved on a Tuesday night :o :old: :bluescarf:

Football is a 90 minute game, the next 60 min those same players played the worst football i have seen so far this season. total collapse. Thats our biggest loss so far it doesnt mean anything that they played some nice football for 20 min.

A few people seem to think there will be a stream for the game due to your sponsors, are all of your games normally shown on a live stream?

Just of interest mate, how many fans do you expect to travel tomorrow night?

Re: ' Boro game ' Help on your Views Please?

Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:21 pm

We have only sold 300 tickets mate so expect no more than 500 fans in total. Been an expensive month for our fans, we took almost 4k to huddersfield on saturday and we are taking a big following to liverpool next week. this was always the game most people were going to miss unfortunately. Huge commitment for a tuesday night

yep thats what i think.

if he didnt have the man u pedigree and reputation he'd get less time and less money. i'd be surprised if a knee jerk decision is made on OGS within the next few weeks, i think he will be given time to gel this relatively new team together….. :ayatollah:

Re: ' Boro game ' Help on your Views Please?

Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:54 pm

Really hard to tell which way this one will go, we have a good squad on paper but its a new squad and we arnt playing that well at the moment. Battered Huddersfield on saturday but still had to rely on a wonder goal and a last minute penalty to get us all three points.

Tipped Cardiff to win the league at the start of the season but it looks like you have had a poor start, cant see us getting much on tuesday, would 100% take a point

Re: ' Boro game ' Help on your Views Please?

Mon Sep 15, 2014 9:59 pm

The challenge from OGS is for a Cardiff response after our second half collapse against Norwich on Saturday, this chance come instantly on Tuesday with Middlesbrough coming to the Cardiff City Stadium.

OGS isn't afraid to change his side and one of the changes is almost certain to be Bruno Ecuele Manga coming in to make his debut in defence, you don't pay the kind of money we paid for him not to use him. Sean Morrison or Matt Connolly will drop out, possibly Connolly.

Fabio's muscle problem from Saturday might mean he misses out with Declan John deputising with Craig Noone a possibility to return to the squad for the first time this season with Mats Daehli recovered from his internationally sustained injury.

Middlesbrough will start with the experienced Greek international Dimi Konstantopoulos in goal as it's been confirmed he'll keep out Tomas Mejias after replacing him after injury with it now 'his place to lose.'

The only doubt for Middlesbrough was Grant Leadbitter but he's been passed fit.

Last time the sides met it was Middlesbrough that took the points in a Riverside Stadium encounter with Middlesbrough also having the better of the overall recent meeting.

We should have finished off Norwich on Saturday, they were basically dead and buried at half time but we gave them a sniff and they took it. We can ill afford too many repeats of that.
