Sean Morrison is staying at the Vale with his agent, ready to continue talks with Cardiff City over the Reading defender's proposed move to CCS.

Anthony Pilkington is also staying at the Vale and will be announced as a Cardiff City player today.
Pilkington is officially a Cardiff player.

There is a 3rd player there,but at this moment,nothing concrete.

The Republic of Ireland international played for Stockport and Huddersfield before moving to Norwich in 2011.

The 26-year-old will become Cardiff City manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's ninth signing of the transfer window so far.

I think pilkington is exactly what we need. A clever wide player who can play on both both flanks and score goals. Morrison is a big powerful centre half who attacks the ball well. Hopefully both are recovered fully from injuries of last season as they can both do a good job for us.

Definitely needed another winger.. Craig Noone is our only first team winger! Pilkington is a great signing for us!

Wayne, I just know that everything is signed and sealed on Pilkinghton and that both had their agents with them, Morrison and his agent will negotiate everything at 8am today

I read an article on Morrison and had previously thought he was someone else, still only 23, good defender, would be happy with him.

Gunnarsson, KTC, Kimbo Cala .. surplus to requirement now simply because we've got better players in, try and get some fees for these if possible.

Sean Morrison will join Cardiff City in a £4 million deal.

The 23-year-old centre-back told Reading boss Nigel Adkins yesterday morning he wanted to talk with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about a switch to the Bluebirds.

And getreading.co.uk understands the defender was reluctantly given permission to travel to Wales later in the afternoon to thrash out terms.

Morrison will become the second Reading player to join Cardiff this summer, following Adam Le Fondre’s £2.5m transfer in May.

A disappointed Adkins said: “Sean came to see me and said he wanted to speak to Cardiff.

“He saw the director of football (Nick Hammond) as well to reiterate what he said to me.

“So via agents, a lot of things have been said.”

It is thought Cardiff will pay Reading £3m up front for Morrison, but the fee will eventually reach £4m with add-ons.

The sale will give Royals a large profit on the £250,000 they spent to bring the defender to the club from Swindon Town in 2011.

Adkins, who confirmed Morrison has not handed in a transfer request, added: “All through the transfer window players become unsettled, history tells us that.
