Just interested to see the responses if pulis left would you swap him right now for ole?
Thu Aug 14, 2014 6:11 pm
No, Ole's had a pre-season and put his own stance onto the squad. Give him time

Of course a proven Premiership and promotion winning Manager.......
Thu Aug 14, 2014 6:15 pm
That's a tough question.
I know that Ole has now had a pre-season under his belt and the chance to get the team playing the way he wants but I just can't forget some of the absolutely abject performances at the end of last season which really suggested to me that he was virtually clueless.
If pushed I'd have to plump for Pulis I think.
Sorry Ole!

Glad so. I think he can deliver promotion, depending on the time scale. He'll also have learnt from his mistakes to make himself a better manager for if we did return to the Premier League.
Pulis I think would never manage a Championship side again unless it was a team like QPR before they got promoted with unlimited resources.

At this stage no.
I wouldn't want him here as discussed director of football either as someone else mentioned.

I love Ole great bloke, but looks like a footballer trying to manage, Pullis would have that squad promoted by Christmas.....
Thu Aug 14, 2014 6:49 pm
Pulis has managed over 20 years and only got a club promoted twice I believe.. obviously hes been in the prem for a while mind

I would rather watch an Ole team in the Championship than a Pulis team in the Premiership.

To be honest, I'm just disappointed you would ask such a question at this time!
Ole is our manager and he should get your
FULL support, fella, but obviously he hasn't got that!

If Ole hasn't got the team in the top 4 by Xmas. Pulis will be snapped up by then, though. IMO.
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:32 pm
No.
I think Ole has alot to learn as most new managers does but i believe he has what it takes to get us up and make us a team that grows for each year in the PL. Hopefully he doesn`t do a Robert Martinez and leave the project on it`s way up.
Pulis has showed earlier that he got what it takes to establish a team in PL but he has never taken the extra step due to his defensive mindset. I dont like watching teams with minimum 8 Kenwyne Jones figures out there defending and scoring lots on set pieces.
Keeping Ole is a no brainer for me.

Football is brutal I'm afraid!!!!!
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:38 pm
Idiot.
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:38 pm
No.
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:40 pm
Yep
I think Ole seems a nice bloke, but seems out of his depth. I really dont think he knows what hes doing.
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:44 pm
Yes
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:46 pm
Totally agree and can guarantee come. January if we're struggling people will. Be saying we should of got pulls when we had the chance AGAIN
Thu Aug 14, 2014 8:47 pm
back the manager for f**k sake!
Ole finally has a full pre season, makes his signings and it's now his team! Some of the signings he's made are cracking!
People just want Ole out as he's Tan's man!

Since the start of his football management career in 1992, Tony Pulis has only been promoted to the top flight once.
GillinghamFootball League Third Division runner-up: 1995–96
Football League Second Division play-off final runner-up: 1999
Stoke CityFootball League Championship runner-up: 2007–08
FA Cup runner-up: 2010–11
Not a promotion specialist by any means.
