Former Cardiff City manager Malky MacKay deserves a top job
I am a huge Malky MacKay fan, I will admit that. As far as I’m concerned, he is the best manager Cardiff City have ever had.
The way that he has been treated by our owner, and it has to be said a lot of the Cardiff fans with short memories, is scandalous.
This is the man that when he joined our club had 12 players. The joke of a previous manager had filled the squad with overpaid, lazy, can’t be bothered loanees who left the club. Yes he had Vincent Tan’s money, but he spent it wisely, and he was the man who sent the players out on that training pitch to learn what he wanted them to learn, he was the man that picked the team, he was the man who got us to the Premier League.
Ladies and gentlemen I am dealing with facts here, not opinions, not propaganda, hard cold facts.
MacKay took us from a team of chokers, to a team of winners.
I will be the first one to admit that the signing of Andreas Cornelius was a shocking decision. But Sir Alex Ferguson bought Bebe. Arsenne Wenger bought Francis Jeffers for £8 million, Jose Mourinhio bought Shaun Wright-Phillips for £21 million. My point is simply this, everybody makes mistakes. Cornelius was actually talked about glowingly by a lot of well respected managers in world football. Hell, even our ‘babyface God’ admitted that he had taken a look at Cornelius.
The rumours, and ‘I heard from a man down the pub’ type stories of the reasons behind this transfer have been nothing short of ridiculous. Every manager makes mistakes, just because a signing didn’t work out doesn’t mean anything underhand was going on.
There has never been any evidence or factual data that can back up the stories that floated around about MacKay. People point to an apparent apology that Malky put out that backs up their own beliefs that there was something going on behind the scenes.
As I said previously the wording of the apology is important. He apologised for any offence caused. Not that he’s sorry for everything he’s done. He’s not sorry for any indiscretions that may or may not have happened. He was apologising for the offence.
Now, if I walked up to you and your other half and said that your partner/wife/husband/whatever was fat, but I turned around and apologised for any offence caused, doesn’t mean what I said wasn’t true. Granted you would smack me in the mouth and I would deserve it, but I wouldn’t be apologising for doing what I did with that wording.
The fact that Malky hasn’t got a job since these rumours started speaks volumes. Mud sticks and it’s unfair to a man who always put Cardiff first. He would be an assist to any club that was fortunate to have him lead them.
Tan must be rubbing his hands together with glee.
Did Malky Mackay deserve to get sacked by Cardiff City?

Sorry that mud is in public domain mostly! Only certain things have not been made public And itk people did rekon it will all come out but like a lot of such info it never serfaces.. But what is in public domain is enough alone to hinder job prospects.

Nothing to do with mud just way he did buisness and posible way he played game?

So since this 'crazy owner' has slung mud at Malky is the reason why he can't get a job?
But he's crazy right? Who would believe him?
Honestly think about that for a while - pretty much the only person who has tried to tarnish Malky's name is Tan. Yet he is the reason he can't get a job? lolwut?
Lets give an example
Crazy guy calls me the devil... Do people hear that and take his warning that I am the devil as the truth?
or the opposite?
Obviously the opposite as who would listen to a mad man?
Soooooooooooooooooooooo yeah - interesting stuff

big Malky fan,but history now move on and support the boys

In reality I think he probably doesn't want to coach anywhere but the Premier league and hasn't really stood out among the other available managing talents - he's done his business already in the Championship and will probably get a job replacing someone during this season.

Pile of shit by the equivalent of a big issue or blog writer.
How many would pay to read this shit?

Yes he did do a good job the first season getting in half decent players, yes he got us promoted in what was probably one of the worst year of standard of teams in the championship. The reason he ain't got a job though is simply the football he got his teams playing was shite, and not many sets of supporters are willing to put up with that just to get promoted. Even West Ham fans moan about the footy Allardyce gets them playing and he's a far better manager than Malky will ever be.

Mud has stuck...
Malky will always be remembered for the good times rather than the bad times..
I will think of the likes of Blackburn away before I think of Bristol or Charlton Away.
Burnley away, was one of the best away trips I've been on, the scenes after the match will live long in my memories.
And I thank Malky, and everyone else at the club for that...
I am glad it kinda ended the way it did, the apology and what not.
As I didn't want to see Malkys name and rep get dragged through the mud, but I wanted to not see Cardiff's Name get dragged through it More.
It was the perfect end to a sour event.
Malky Will get a job at some point, and good luck to him.
Is he Cardiff's best? Not for me... Popular yes, but Eddie May will always be my no1 choice, my Favourite.

This article sums it up in a nutshell for me. Those who continue to slag Malky off with unsubstantiated conjecture are doing so to try to justify why they themselves have disgracefully accepted every bad thing that their beloved Mr Tan has done to our club.
Facts are: Malky turned a threadbare squad into a team of winners.
Malky , despite constant sniping by Tan in the press, had steered us into a course that would have seen us comfortably avoid relegation in the premier.
Every manager buys a dud or two, but the facts remain as above.
On the other hand, what VT has done to the fabric of our clubs identity is a disgrace, but no more of a disgrace than the way some have accepted it and indeed, have tried to justify it by piling the blame onto Malky McKay

If you are basing this on results even though the methods did not sit well, then surely on the same basis you would class Vincent Tan as our best ever chairman?

The answer is simple for me,let's see we're Malky Mackay and Cardiff City are in five years time,as for CCFC greatest manager,YES by a country mile.

Just your opinion, not factsMy opinions on 'some' fans, yes. But the facts remain that we were promoted easily with a squad acquired by McKay and steered onto a path of safety in the prem by McKay despite the unprofessional 'airing of dirty washing in public' by Tan ( including booing the team on camera ffs)
Unsubstantiated conjecture? This board survives on it.

UK Football is all about money....... Making it for yourself and the club.
It's not about mud, its about facts.
Malky doesn't look after your money, that is going to be one hell of a reputation to get over.
Harry redknapp has had a lot of mud in the last decade, but he looks after your money and spots a bargain.

The writer of this article claimed Paul Quinn was the scum of the earth when in fact he meant Stephen Quinn. There's a reason the Metro is free and a reason that wannabe journos should get nowhere in their chosen profession. Why do we pass Metro as news, when they're just opinions. Not facts
