Got to go if it's 5 mill and he's out of contract next year, up to him if he wants to sit on the bench .

Hopefully the majority of that will be up front, not too bad a deal if true. Sad to see Mutch go mind, top player, young and English. Would have been nice to hold onto but the premier league is too big of a lure away. Wouldve been excellent in the championship

I hope so,but your right sad to lose him.

Gutted ,been our best outfield player last couple of seasons
Sat Aug 02, 2014 6:01 pm
A good price for him.
Sat Aug 02, 2014 6:08 pm
Disappointed to see him go, as I was a big fan of his, but for £5m we can't really complain too much.
As someone else said, a sell on clause would be good.

Guttedl didn't want to lose him, I think he will go on to have a great career, but £5Million with one year to go, we couldn't turn it down really
On the plus side, plenty of money coming in from Medel and Mutch for new defenders, lets hope they are decent

when this kid couldnt string a pass together and was getting subbed because he couldnt string a pass together id have chopped someones arm off for 5mil...
but he has improved at an incredible rate
good to have had him, but no player is irreplaceable
seems like a half tidy bit of business considering the amount of time left on his contract
Sat Aug 02, 2014 7:10 pm
As i wrote in another topic. He was bought for 2mill + sell on clause and had a 5mill release clause in his contract.
I hoped it was just bullshit but seems it`s true then

The media at the time stated an undisclosed fee believed to be between 900k and just over £1million. No mention of a sell on fee.

Gutted! Amazing potential. A naturally gifted player, with great ball control and vision. A little rough around the edges sometimes but improving all the time. One of the few players we have, who actually wants the ball, can take players on and can change a game.

Brilliant bit of business. We wont even miss him. And thats not being bitter......I liked Jordon, but for that money he's got to go. Same with Medel. We will not miss these players. We have enough strength in depth to do well this season.

Sad but great news.
We need to stop being greedy and taking risks and having our players stay when a big price is on the table.
Short memories with some we left Ross and Ledley go for a total of 350k. I am very happy with this.
Best of luck to him.

This is a Malky signing. £1 million going for £5 million without clauses......this makes up quite a bit for the disaster that was Acorn...this is going to upset a few.

If I remember rightly, the fee added up to 3 million with add ons. Let's remember if MM was still here, would he have sold him?

If MM was still here? That is too completed to work out.
My point is those that have been slagging MM off at every opportunity then we get this. Kind off makes yo ulaugh at them don't you think?

I honestly think Jordan will play for his country in the coming years at senior level. He is a bit of an on off player. When he is in the mood he is brilliant and his play is effortless. Anyone who was at Craven Cottage (especially as we went bonkers for at least 30 mins after the final whistle) and/or the Hawthorns will have seen class goals, not to mention the others he scored for us. Other times he would just seem to be thinking about what to have for tea that night.
I know its a different position but Mats Daehli excites me more as a player than Jordan does.

Doesn't make up for the Cornelius signing for me, also the treatment of the players with Brayford was horrendous.

If you read my post a little further up you see that the price was 2mill. Click on the link to Walesonline. I cant find the other article that said he had sell on fee aswell but read it somewhere.
So maybe not such great business afterall as 5mill was release clause.

To be fair to find a premier quality striker is always going to be an expensive business.....£10 million is really nothing.
Tan wanted a Bentley but was willing to pay for it......simple really.

Whatever....still a return plus more....

Pay under £2 million for someone, sell for £5 million in last year of their contract....although I would have liked to have kept him, that is good business.
Sat Aug 02, 2014 11:07 pm
I think he will fall into the 'too good for the championship not good enough for the PL' category. Sad to see him go.
