does he only have 1 year left?

As annoying as it is to have him here, we are lucky he wasnt given a longer contract i suppose.

If he has two years left we were lied to about the deal being a swap and each club taking on the current contract of each player.

Jones came with 6 months of his contract left we obviously upped it to 30 months on the same wages.

At least Kenwyne contributed with a goal and an assist with his high wages  I think we are stuck in a Zigic typed position with Jones but he could be a good option to call upon if there's an injury crisis. Shame we offered him so much

i think it was 18 months annis so the rest of this season but i think the club have devised a plan to get rid of him. at blackburn he is going to be tans lucky lucky man and he is going to walk through the away stand with a tray over his shoulder selling lucky red shirts and scarfs

We think that we got it bad, Zidic was on £62K a week at Brum and the contract that he has, meant that it increased even after they got relegated :laughing5: :laughing5:
I would still have faith that Kenwyn Jones could get 15 goals in this league, if his mind was right. Unfortunately, he has had family problems since 2011, when he went through a bad divorce and his wife took the 3 kids, his head has not been right since and his goal scoring dried up

He certainly isn't worth that kind of money but the more I think about it the more I think he could be a bug asset to us in the championship.

Let's hope you're right, personally i would try and leave him in Austria.

Re: ' KENWYNE JONES '

The thing is though, Campbell will probably end up getting £40K a week, now Campbell puts much more effort than Kenwyn Jones, into a game, but is he going to guarantee you more goals? You look at both their goalscoring records and they are much the same over the years, with Jones scoring more at the higher level.

What a joke! We will never get rid of him!! He must be 5th or 6th choice striker at the moment and we are paying him £37,500 per week! Couldn't make it up!

Re: ' KENWYNE JONES '

Thu Jul 17, 2014 1:21 pm

Amazed we agreed to pay £37,500 per week for him. I do think if he played regularly and altered his attitude he could beast the Championship but his attitude isn't good enough and we need to get rid. Even if we drop the transfer fee right down so teams can afford his wages.

I honestly believe that there would be no other team prepared to pay anywhere near this amount per week for Kenwyne even if we said they could take him off our hands for free!
If he was on somewhere in the region of 10k a week then all the top clubs like Wycombe, Accrington Stanley & Scunthorpe would be lining up for his signing! :notworthy:

Re: ' KENWYNE JONES '

he is 29 so needs to play relatively well if he intends having another descent contract anywhere........on the other hand , he is a multi millionaire now...........

A fit and enthusiastic Kenwyne Jones would be a massive asset in the Championship, I really believed he would be an excellent signing in the PL and thought it was a good move by Ole.

Hopefully if he does stay with us he will provide the presence and goals to help Cardiff City get promoted
