Seems there are few heading out of the Liberty, Hernandez, Ben Davies and Bony as well as Michu.

If michu hadn't been injured for more or less the whole season he would in my opinion have been worth around the 20 mill Mark , as it is he wants out so thanks a lot and goodbye unfortunately
Let's not be naive fellas the bony's Michu's and medels of this world are not dreaming of playing for Swansea or Cardiff we are the shop window , it's all about finding them on the cheap and selling as high as possible , hopefully gomis is the next one up

Would that be the season he was the top scoring midfielder in La Liga or the season he got 20 odd goals for us?

I'd have to agree with this. I was hugely surprised that he wasn't tempted away from Swansea at the end of his first season. I felt he was the difference between Swansea being a top half team and a struggling bottom half team. I saw him more as an attacking midfielder than a striker, and at the time he was right up there with the best of them.

Those injuries have obviously taken their toll on him and it remains to be seen what's left of the real Michu.

Very true. Hate to say it but good business for jacks if they get 8 million at end of loan spell. His ankle is dodgy and it'll be interesting to see if he can cut it at a top club.

Come on now annis, you should now better as you haven't half posted some ridiculous posts in the last few seasons about us.
As for michu maybee 25m was a bit high but the guy is a class act and the amount off goals he scored but allso the way he took them shows he is worth money.
If he hadn't been out most of last year he without doubt whould have scored many more again.
He is a national finisher and was worth at his peak 15-20mill,
Should he be sold now it would be 6m upwards thats why we aint selling him as napoli see the potential but know his problem with injury so want to see how he goes.
Should he do well there and im sure he will then its time to pay and pay big as thats 3 leagues he has done it in.

Thought that would get a bite! Tbh I agree with your post about his value prior to injury but then there is always a risk that one good season (PL) won't be repeated for whatever reason.

Michu's exit signals Swansea's uncertain future -

The ill-fated "Bony-M" connection that looked so promising for Swansea this time last year appears to be finished before it ever really started. Michu -- the "M" part of the equation -- looks set for a loan spell in Napoli, but the more pressing question is whether Swansea can keep hold of striker Wilfried Bony.

After a World Cup which all but rang the death knell for the classic No. 9, it seems slightly strange to see Bony's name so readily circulated.

After all, Bony is an unfashionably classic striker, even if his contribution to team play is often underreported. While he is a perfect fit for Swansea, he would seem like an awkward replacement for Luis Suarez at Liverpool, especially considering how eager Brendan Rodgers was to discard Andy Carroll.

I'm a Carroll fan, and although Bony is better, both players are functionally target men -- back-to-the-goal types who bring others into play, strong, physical, good-in-the-air and so on. Suarez is a different player. The shifty Uruguayan is more false No. 9 than a classic one, and with a blooming Daniel Sturridge growing into the central striker slot at Anfield, I don't see where Bony fits in.

Michu was bought for just over £2m and will go on loan with a loan fee of about £2m with an option to buy for £8m.
Bony was between £12m and £13m depending on who you talk to and will go for between £19m and £25m.
PH was £5.5(???) and will go for about £3m.

IF they can replace some of these and others who are headed for the exit, the money side is sorted but that is a big IF.
Tbf, Gomis looks tasty but you never know.

Smaller clubs will always be convenience stores for bigger clubs. Fact of life.

They look to be losing a lot of players this year, Bony's goals will be very hard to replace and Hernandez would be a big loss to them and hard to replace also, it will be interesting to see how the manager, Jenkins gets on this season ???

Agreed. Looks like a clear-out but also some wishing to go. Not quite Blackpool mind!!
Pablo's injuries have depressed his value inevitably. He is a tricky player when on form. A playmaker.
Ki may not go back after his loan to Sund.
Deguzman is a loanee as far as I know.
Ben D is attracting some attention and looks likely to be snaffled up.

Interesting times to say the least. The relationship between Jenkins and Monk is fine at the moment but testing times ahead. How long will it last? The promotees this year have some money to spend so the PL is, if anything, the hardest for a while.

Now this all makes sense. I've just had some stick out of the blue on a thread I started. Couldn't quite work out what I'd done.

The more I deny, the more I'm disbelieved so leave that one there.

You are right though, I have always taken an interest in our neighbours. My post is really questioning whether they've got it wrong. They seem hell-bent on selling but maybe didn't bargain for some to walk. As well. They could have major problems later in the window when players get more expensive and of course less time to get the team working.

In contrast, where I think OGS has been great even at this early stage is he has managed to sign some promising players, relatively cheaply and is prepared to shed some too. Definitely a move in the right direction. The poll I started about Christmas table position suggests most Bluebirds fans believe we can be at least top 6, with the vast majority going for 1st or 2nd come December. This seems likely and will cement OGS for the full season and beyond. Stability is required. The demotion is no more than a blip. :bluescarf:

Michu was, unsurprisingly, a fantastic signing for them. £25m? Hell no, but damn good. They were always a stepping stone club for him, as we are to Medel. Plus they can afford to let him go out on loan, with Bafetimbi Gomis now signed up.
